Darien police questioning woman about baby abandoned at Walgreens

Darien police are interviewing a woman who they say left a baby in a shopping cart inside a Walgreen’s drug store this morning.
Officers were dispatched to the store in the 7500 block of South Cass Avenue at 8:15 a.m. after the woman spoke to a clerk and left without the child, according to police.
Deputy Chief Cooper John Cooper said the woman later called 911 on her cell phone and told police that someone took her baby from a restaurant in another town.
Cooper said police decided to check the restaurant right across the street from the Walgreens and found the woman there.
It was still unclear if the woman was the baby’s mother, Cooper said.
Has this horrible person been charged with the abandonment?
Why did this story fade away so easily? Fade away in these days of abandonment and missing person stories being big sellers for the news people?
So just what is going on with this case and who is this horrible person?

I was recently thinking about that happening. I wondered why I heard nothing more.
I hope the baby is alright. The thought of a mother abandoning such a small child is horrible.
I heard that she tried to conceal the baby in a shopping cart with store merchandise.
Prayers for the child and obviously disturbed woman.
Hopefully the child is safe and in better hands.

Self centered, drug using, thieving, coniving and always manipulting.
Her Mom enables her. Her stepdad wants nothing to do with her. Her own Father no longer acknowledges her.

XXAUTOLINK-0-XX is it this girl??I heard Jackie is doing really bad I seen her last week and damn she looks like she is on her death bed. I feel sorry for the little ones running around that apartment I wonder how them two men she lives with can keep it clean!! give up the drugs already and grow up I was out last night and she was flown to Hospital cause of drugs and trying to commit suicide. Dont know if thats true or not but thats what people r sayin I just know what I hear why cover up for her everyone knows she is always were are drugs I seen Jackie for myself about 3 weeks ago for myself. This past weekend during a party she was so strung out she told me she didn't even want the kids anymore this past weekend because she had such a hard time finding somebody to take care of them because she didnt have time for herself anymore!!!! I pray for those poor children it's aweful their own mom wants nothing to do with them almost all of the time she really had all of us fooled when she moved in with frank and dennis her and jesse did
She was VERY strung out on drugs and drniking and if her family cared for her and her children they all would stop lying to thereself and do something for her babies cuz she wont do forself i dont even think she has them all of the time but she says they are with her nobody sees them all of the time they must be stayin with somebody thoug. It is ashame that she chooses to be that messed up on drugs than to be a mommy to her children!!! there was a birthday party dirty needels on the floor pills layin everywhere there was even something that looked like cat shit in the floor and used rubbers on the couch that apartment there is so nasty since she's been there someone should really call social services if the kids are really there because nobody has seen her with the kids we all think shes kinda crazy dont know what shes telling people thought she was okay until that blowout with Jesse know now that shes just a bum ho but everybody is afriad to say anything now she's trying to get pregnant with frank 3 kids 3 diffrent dads if she gets pregnant with frank it will be 4 kids and frank already has kid i really dont think so wonder how his OTHR family is gonna feel about that and while we work our ass off to pay for these kids she lays up on drugs and no telling what else. It's called birth control seems like somebody forget to teach her that she goes around braggin about having strange men take out her iuds so she can have more babies she cant take care of herself she wont even fill out an the applications I brought her for a JOB but she always want to BORROW MONEY!!

She likes to try to use cops and the system. She thinks they will always sympathize with poor Ashley.

It is so unfortunate that she is so stupid. She thinks she is writing all the rules to her little game but doesn't realize that she is laying sweet groundwork to her own loss.

Using anyone dumb enough to play to her little schemes.

Soon enough (very soon in fact) the piper is going to come calling

Looks like the twisted piece of trash finally turned herself in to face the arrest warrant for her. This is the warrant she has been running and hiding from that was issued as a result of her abandoning the child she is (unfortunately!) the biological mother of.

Here is the May 4th police report from Naperville citing her May 2nd arrest:

This turning herself in reeks like anything associated with here.

Why would someone who lives in the Joliet/Shorewood area turn herself into the NAPERVILLE police department for abandoning the child in a sore in Dariem???

My best guess is this might well have a trademark of yet MORE of her stupid scheming.
