Teen who wounded parents is found not guilty by reason of insanity

Tragic story, I wonder if they were illegals.

If a person can have violent tendencies without a particular medicine that they were prescribed then there needs to still be a strict punishment for any crimes committed after that person chooses to go off that necessary medicine.

Maybe pharmaceutical (sp?) companies should devise a way to give those medicines interveneously in a time release way like Norplant for birth control.

This way the decision to go off it for a time is taken away from the potentially dangerous people. And they should have parole agent-like doctors who ensure those patients come in for their treatments.

It seems like large scale freak murders like this are often caused by a mental imbalance that could have been helped by medicine.
