Police search for dog owner

Maybe the dog thought the boy was a threat to its owner. The woman probably thinks she'll be sued, and she probably will be, so that's why she's in hiding. C'mon lady, come clean. That's what homeowners insurance is for. Your dog is waiting for you to save him from euthanasia. Be a responsible person.

she should come out of hiding and do the right thing. the longer she waits-- the worst it'll get. she's a prisoner in her own home - she can't even come out to walk the dog now because the cops are looking for her. I'm in that area all the time and I'm keeping my eye out - if I see her, she's getting turned in.

Can't blame her. Chances are the family will sue her for "emotional stress". This is the way of the world. Greedy SOB's looking for a quick dollar. It is unlikely that the dog is rabid, but not impossible. If the woman is aware and paying attention to this, maybe she can have her veterinarian come through keeping her anonymous and tell the authorities that the dog is not rabid. Just a thought. |
That would probably be a good idea - but what if that dog just is old and nasty and is prone to biting. he could really hurt someone- and yes, if I thought my son had rabies from a dog whose owner didn't own up to it's actions and maybe undergoing painful rabies shots (not to mention the cost) i would sue for emotional stress- it's just not right for her not to come forward! |

There is another forum started that will explain. The dog has been found. If it were me in this case, I would not sue for anything more than medical bills if the bills were not covered by my carrier. People like you make the world a terrible place with your sue happy antics. What is it going to solve by suing? |
people like me? you're nuts!!you have no idea what you're talking about so take your opinions to someone who cares. what would have happened if this dog was NOT FOUND? and this teen had to undergo all these tests to see if he had a disease. that's an emotional strain on anyone!i've heard of people suing restaurants for eating bad fish - now those are the "sue happy" people you're talking about. |

No need to get defensive. Sue happy people don't solve anything, just make matters worse. Granted, I agree with you the stress the boy would have gone through if the dog wasn't found, however, accidents happen. What if it happened to be a raccoon that bit the boy, who would you sue then? My opinion deserves respect just as well as yours. |
I agree and I'm not sue happy-believe me -i have morals - but i was upset because I thought she should have come forward..how do you not know when your dog has bitten someone while you were walking it? I understand the woman was elderly and had alz. so that clarifies the reason of the not coming forward - and I can forgive her for that. If someone was walking a racoon and it bit my son - yes I would sue! LOLOL!!! |
