The flooding started sunday march 22, reached record hieghts and has devastated approx 80 households in old town (the older part of Linton)
not to mention numerous more households in the country, cattle are dieing and some are stranded and may yet starve. The people are helping each other as much as they are able and feel that locally theres great individiual support...however many familys will lose most if not all of everything they own. There was sewage backup and being cattle country there is no doubt ecoli present as well. |
