wreck with car fire

I heard that there was a wreck at oldtown rd and highway 311 saturday nite , the car flipped over and the guy was still in the car . The car caught fire and a volunteer firefighter from walnut cove saved the guy. From what i heard if it were not for the quick thinking and action from this firefighter . the guy would have surely died. GREAT JOB whoever you are . Its so good to hear that our volunteer fire depts are working good together and protecting us. I know there have been a lot of negative stuff on here about walnut cove , but keep doing what you guys are doing , A GREAT JOB. The people in and around walnut cove dont really realize how lucky we have it. We have a very good bunch of guys and girls protecting us and we should be proud. Dont listen to all these negative comments fool you .The firefighter who saved that guy is a hero in every sense of the word period.

Yes thats true i was one of the firefighters there.I can honestly say if not for the actions of that member. The driver most likely would have perished .

I heard there was another fire in walnut cove sat. And also the fire dept was there in 3 mins. Wtg WCVFD keep up the great work!

These comments are what it's all about the whole reason i became a FIREFIGHTER. There is no room what so ever for negativity in the fire service. Salem Chapel and South Stokes also came to asst.Everyone done a bang up job keep up the good work.
