south stokes football team

It would be so good if we could get a new head football coach at south stokes , the one we have sucks. alot of platers have quit because of him . As long as hes there we dont stand a chance. We have some good football players cvoming up from southeastern , it would be ashame to lose them . Either they will quit playing or got to a different school. Wake up .

Southeastern is undefeated , but when they get to south stokes it all goes down hill . Tell me why? The hole program at south stokes needs revamping, from the top down......

Yeah but most want even try ti get on the South Stokes Team because they know the only ones picked for South Stokes are friends of the Head Coach there.

In other words if you ain't part of the click you ain't part of the team unless you are a bench warmer.

that's the issue...Southeastern has had an awesome season..future Southeastern players on the Walnut Cove Wildcats team are having an awesome season...I hate to see these talents stagnate when they get to the high school level. This situation is sad because Walnut Cove has the talented youth to make this a football town, but to hear King and Winston people talk...they think we are a joke.

can anyone tell me exactly why the South Stokes Coach has lost support of his own players and why he is still there? How can a coach only pick kids who are friends of his? There is no room for cliques on a football team.

Not accusing, but years ago when I was in High School, our avg weight on the Line was 250 pounds Offense and Defense. We had a tower of a team and a pretty good coach we all thought..

Our coach was caught betting against his own team and was let go to go to another High School where he did the same thing.

But at South Stokes, it seems to be about who ya know and have befriended then it is about the kids ability to play.

My grandson want go out at SEMS because he knows he want get a chance at South Stokes because I am not friends with the coaches. He is going out for Basket Ball and Baseball this year at SEMS. But no more with the Walnut Cove League.

Not to be disrespectful but years ago there would only be about three guys in school that weighted 250 lbs. I never saw a team that averaged that much weight. My weight was 175 in high school and i was about average ?

No disrespect perceived..

These boys were like 6'2" up to 6'5".. Big Raw Bone Bo-hunks.. We should have taken the State Championship several times over, but our coach was making money on our team.. This was in 1969-73 Southern WVa.. Our Front Lines were better and bigger them allot of colleges.

That is not so. On a football team every person makes the team , youi dont get picked. No players are cut or dropped. Players quit because of the jerks that coach them .

I always thought it was the Job of the Coach to make the players outstanding.. Must have been wrong all this time..

if we had better coaches , we would have more players and players wouldnt be moving to a different school to pklay football. The coaching staff sux, with exception a 2 or 3. period
