Opening up a Teen Night Club will be cool. Teens need it. I was once a teen not so long ago, and i always wanted to have a place to go and just chill, but there was no place to go. It started getting boring. But with a Night Club, that'll be hott. A place to go, meet friends, and just chill. I say go for it.

But yeah, reading the comments here, it went off subject. Some are just so quick to judge. Judging by the way i type, you wouldn' think i'm from the ghetto, but i am. So it offends me. You have to be more open minded and not be so critical of others. I type this way because i'm used to it, but if you hear me talk, i'm straight ghetto. So just think about it, you're probably older than these girls, just let them be young, and be who they want to be. They know better. Yep, thanks.:)

There is something called "relative readability," which is about being able to read others' writing with ease. When you misspell words and write like "fUckA jIz yO mAwW sTraIt OPz kikIi sHo," most people cannot understand you or it slows down the reading process and the meaning of your message gets diluted! If you are going to post comments on this site, then write in a clearer way, so other people can understand you. Once again, my point is that people judge others by how they dress, look, speak, and write. If you are saying that you don't judge others, then I don't believe it. I am an attractive white woman- people judge me all the time by how I look. I've accepted it, though. I went out of my way to work hard and get an education to prove people wrong (and for myself, too because I like being challenged).

Has anyone seen the movie "Akeelah and the Bee?" It's about a young girl from the hood who gets into the spelling bee. Laurence Fishburne's character is her coach and she shows up speaking slang(mumbling, too)and Fishburne's character asks her to speak proper English. She says that she doesn't want to speak 'white,' and he tells her that it isn't about speaking 'white,' but it's about speaking proper English and being articulate (he wanted her to speak this way with him and she could talk however she wanted with her friends). I'm not saying not to use slang, but use it in the appropriate forum, like on your myspace page or when you're hanging out with your friends. Old people like myself just can't understand you on this site.

Lastly, to get back to the topic of a teen club in Stockton. I do not think it is a good idea because Stockton is dangerous already. Teens should not be out late at night in the first place. Look at the 30 people who were arrested yesterday for gang activity. Whatever happened to teens playing sports and being active in school activities? Not cool enough? I played sports, was in clubs, plays, etc. in high school and really enjoyed it. Also, I've had a job since I was 15. All of that stuff kept me very busy and out of trouble.

Roxanne and Tkk- best of luck and go after your passions! I was really just giving you girls a hard time and playing devil's advocate. I'm sure that both of you are smart, good people. I hope that you two are considering college because college grads typically earn twice as much as someone with a high school diploma. Check out www.icanaffordcollege.com

i dont know what would make you think that im not going to college...i've already got it picked out. yes i now college grads make more money, im not going to graduate college so i can get more money im going to do it so that i can be somebody. im going to be a motivational speaker and i am going to help people because thats what i love doing. you on the other hand probably just care about a fat check. im going to make a difference in somebodys life. and just for your fyi, i am a VERY educated young woman, and i've got my shit togeather, so you dont need to act like you were trying to help me and roxanne out by playing the devils advocate. you thought that we were stupid teens that like to cause trouble. we dont need you talking down to us and we definately dont need the bull shit that you have been giving us for the past couple of days. you know what though, we will be successful and we will prove you and doug wrong, we're not ghetto. I'm sorry that you were offended by my advice. Never said that I didn't think you would go to college. I only said that I hope you go to college. For the record: I help people on a daily basis at my job and do not earn very much money.

I do see where you're coming from. But these days, things changed. From the way the kids talk to the way they dress. It's just a new era. Hate or love it.

A night club for teens would be nice. Maybe it'll keep them out of trouble, with a watch close eye. Make it strict. Enforce the dress codes & security. Then it'll be cool. So yee! Go for it!
