I always wondered how she was able to live the lifestyle she was living. I figured her hubby must be selling a lot of wine so she could be driving around in a Lexus. She sure did like to flaunt her stuff. LOL!!!

black man gets 10 years for stealing, white woman gets 60 days. Coming next week another group hug for diversity and to reaffirm all is equal in the USA.

Monday everyone who stole something and is doing time in jail should be set free if their 60 days is up.

60 days for stealing almost 3 grand, what a joke. She must be, besides stealing 3 grand, an outstanding member of the community. A nice woman from a nice middle class background. If she had been a low income person with a low income background she would be doing at least 2 years. It looks like classism at play here.

Isn't this company some type of business/financial services company? Wouldn't inspire me to hire them that it took so long to figure out their own books

Joe, this can't about race anymore. If anything it is about gendar bias or possibly class bias. Look at the facts in hand. The most powerful political figure in this country is biracial.

The latest puppet in the white house is powerful or where any of the others.

This is a person who has not had much of a conciensce for a long time. To steal from someone as kind as the owner of CBI is disgraceful. To embarrass and hurt your husband and child that way is unthinkable. She behaved as though she was made of money and you would NEVER have know she was doing something so wrong because she never seemed to have an ounce of guilt.

She should be serving alot more than 60 days, that is for sure.

How does your husband not realize his spouse embezzled 300K? He must have known.

I am wondering that myself. But maybe she lied and said she was getting big bonuses, raises or something like that. She didn't take the whole 300K at once so if she was handling all the home finances then it's possible that he may have not known. Or maybe he questioned it but just didn't believe his wife was capable of something like that.

Does her husband own a business. I can't imagine that he didn't know what was going on. This is going on so much more than is ever reported in the reformer. And it will continue since these people seem to get no punishment.

Your right. Just recently a local Dr.s office found out that their bookeeper stole thousands over a course of about 10 years. She didn't get any jail time because she didn't have a prior record. She is working again handling money in another state.

Julie should have been locked up for at least 2 yrs. I know she has a kid but many people with kids are locked up for longer than that and for less of a crime. It just doesn't seem like justice to me.

Was this case ever brought to court? There seems to need to some responsibily of the courts to at least have these peoples records labled in some way so that another employer does not come along and hire them, in the same type of position.

It was brought to court but it never made the newspaper. The reasons I think this one was made public was due to the size of the amount stolen and the FBI being involved.
Embezzelment is happening more often than we think.

She does deserve much more then 60 days. As previous posters have noted. She was very rude to people, full of her fake self, and just a plain nasty person. It is good to see that at least she was caught. Feel bad for husband and son...they will be the one's that will have to suffer.

Wrong it is about race and also gender. Bank president steals hundreds of thousands, he spends less than 2 years in jail, is now home. Black man steals less does 3 years 2 of which is in a detention center for harden criminals ( first offender) still waiting to be released, same crime as bank president, less money involved , but more time issued by the same judge! How do you see this as not a race issue? Theirs a HUGE race card in Vt, please don't say their is no race issue because their is. 60 days what a joke!

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Cancer

You've had enough time to yourself lately. This is a day to focus on family, with all the good and bad that that brings. Crabs would much rather be at the top of the tree than down near the roots, but that's life. You might be smart when it comes to matters of the heart, but you don't know it all quite yet.
