316 posts on a dead mangy dog and the gut-less, ball-less stilwellites are too fraidy to comment on their rich neighbors who accept thousands of dollars of direct payment from the federal government for sitting on their duff and doing nothing. The same gut-less people will have a hissy-fit if they think someone gets food stamps, government cheese or a few dollars to feed their children.

How come no comments about the preachers, bankers, sheriffs, county commisioners, and other fat cats?

If you look at the map, stilvell has very few fat cats. However I agree this is just legal thievery since the so-called farmers are paid to do nothing. Anybody know just how many of these fat cats go to church on sunday to clear their sins

Why are farm subsidies so high & why do they go to wealthy people who may not or probably don't farm - as in the Texas LDP program.
If all subsidies for farms went to working small farms I wouldn't care but that is not the case & if even 1 billion of these subsidies was diverted to food stamps & food banks - hunger in the USA could be ended in a year or two. And another amount should be diverted to medicare & other medical needs for our population. Why isn't it? Why is our government always talking about medical expenses being out of control & not a word about farm subsidies. Its disgusting.

Trust me I have never spoke ill of anyone who gets food stamps, welfare or any assistance to help their family. There but for the grace of God go I; I read the EWG sight a few years back and was very surprized at some of the names on there. You are correct a lot of those people would criticize a single mom for taking food stamps. I don't. I have made jokes about white people being envious of Indians receiving cheese, but I was just being sarcastic. Some of the names on the ewg list also had people who worked for them also sign up and receive a subsidy. I thought that was kind of strange that they let people do that.

Old Hooverville could live pretty good on $329,147.94. Wow! How many single mothers or black folks do you know pulling down that kind of cabbage?

This is just a little with what's wrong with our political system, Adair county and these folks in general! Just look we have felons, lawyer which helps felons, druggies, preachers and just down right low lifes. Oh yes, a millionaire that doesn't need it anyway. So all of these so called farmers are being paid by the federal government to "not" farm?

I was kind of impressed by the figures until I realized that they were the total amount received over a ten year period.Up until I read that I was considering doing some farming on the side.lol.It seems to me that none of them are really receiving that much on an annual basis except for Terry Hall.
