If he took advantage of a government amnesty, then he was given a free pass on a tax evasion felony.... which means Romney does not have to pay taxes on that money, but would still be classified as having broke the law - which makes him a felon and therefore ineligible to run for President....

Is my understanding of this correct?

I was hoping he's have to plead guilty to felony tax evasion before being given amnesty... but you're right. He's rich. He answers to a different legal system and a different set of rules.

Romney paid no income taxes, and got the government to sponsor his horse to the tune of $72,000 Dollars per year. How much money does a welfare guy mooch off the government? More money than Romney's horse, do you think?

Why the heck do you think he's hiding his tax returns?

More than 1,000 pastors plan to openly defy the IRS by telling their congregation on October 7 to vote for a particular presidential candidate, according to Foux News.

The annual event, dubbed “Pulpit Freedom Sunday,” has been organized by the conservative Christian group Alliance Defunking Freedom. The pastors participating in the event plan to preach about the election, endorse a candidate, and send video of their sermon to the IRS.

“The purpose is to make sure that the pastor — and not the IRS — decides what is said from the pulpit,” Erik Stanley, senior legal counsel for the group, told Faux News.

Churches, most of them anyway...especially here in the Oklahoma, have always been Republican organisations always shilling for the Republican candidates so this move by the pastors is not going to change anything - but this does give us a very good reason to start taxing churches.

If religious organisations actively take part in politics, they breach their tax-exempt status and they have to pay their fair share of the cost of construction and maintenance of the public infrastructure they make use of, right?

Republicans to Mitt Romney: You're no Reagan

The GOP seems fixated on the past, and their dead icons.

I mean it is 2012 for goodness sake.. we don't need Reagan anymore than we need Pac Man and Sony Walkmans... the GOP HAS to let the past go, and think about the future for a change.

They don't need Reagan, they need a real living leader who has his own vision and maybe a dash of integrity and earnest drive.

The Repugpig came out of the shop with a meat and potato pie, large chips, mushy peas & a jumbo sausage.

A poor homeless man sat there and said “I've not eaten for two days.”

Repugpig told him “I wish I had your will power”!

Repugpig took his Biology exam last Friday.

He was asked to name two things commonly found in cells.

Apparently "Blacks" and "Rumanian gypsies" were not the correct answers.

Repugpig hates all this terrorist business.

He used to love the days when you could look at an unattended bag on a train or bus and think to yourself I'm going to take that.

God is so much bigger than politics, and yet many Christians are living in panic because of Obama. Even though Obama and the things he is doing may be bad for our country, it’s all gonna eventually be ok.
How frequently do we put our trust in princes, rather than in God?(Psalm 118:8-9)How often do we turn to the President, to the men and women in power, and plead with them,“Please give us security in these uncertain times”?
What ever happened to trusting in the Lord in times of uncertainty?

You should try to be a blessing to someone else and maybe the favor will be returned.

Why in the world would we want osamas presidency to end? Lets see, gas is 4.00 a gallon, unemployment above 9%, the middle east is in an uproar, 16 trillion dollars in debt, the demwits think he's done a wonderful job.

Gas prices under Obama still have not reached the heights that they did while GWB was in office. The middle east has been in an uproar for thousands of years. Obama didn't cause the uproar. Unemployment is lower now than it was when Obama took office. Just slightly lower, but still lower. Bush's tax cuts and two unfunded wars are what has caused the debt to skyrocket.
Simple, you need to stop your racism and bigotry. Yes, you are a racist and a bigot. Obama is our President, not Osama. The fact that you are calling him that proves that you are hung up on race and cannot form an objective or educated opinion about politics. Most people grow out of the name calling phase by the age of ten. If you looked objectively at the facts you would see that Bush caused the mess we are in.

Yes, Bush and his zoo. Cheney had to make up for that 36 million dollars a year he gave up to be VP.

Mind blogging.

Do you think you will ever grow up enough to quit believing the lefts lies? Glad you pointed out my mistaking the letter s for the letter b, might come in helpful when I go apply for my check. Man I can't wait for this redistibution thing to kick in. Race has nothing to do with it, I've said before Herman Cain was my favorite, and hey I ain't smart enough to know if I'm a bigot or not.

The Democrats are always willing to throw the race card in. The ones that post on here leave some of the rudest, hate filled comments. They think everyone that is against Obama is in their terms a "bigot" and a "racist." I don't have anything against Obama regarding his race. I wanted him to do a good job of leading our country. But, I know a lot of Democrats that don't think he's done a good job of that and neither do I.
Opinionated, you need to quit judging people and calling them names. You're not in grade school anymore, it's time to grow up!
