My husband is in constuction, and everytime I hear of something like this, my heart jumps. My thoughts and prayers are with the familes and friends. Also with the crew, I know that they become like family too.

Most of us think, as we leave for work in the morning, that we will be returning home at the end of the day. Unfortunately, this is not always true. This is such a heartbreaking accident. My prayers go out to the families of both men. We have to remember each day is a gift.

I was going downtown for business and was going up Broadway when the firefighters were just pulling on to 16th. What a mangled wreck. Prayers for the workers.

I knew both men and I am saddened by the loss of one and hopeful for the recovery of the other. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased and prayers for speedy recovery of the injured. We deal with this risk every day as ironworkers and members of the construction trade in general, especially the high workers like ourselves.

All around our nation spans
monuments built by human hands;
Bridges,Towers and Buildings too
by men who work for me and you.

Men withstrong and calloused hands
who toil all day upon our lands.
They work in weather dark and dreary;
When day is done they come home weary.

They work in hottest heat of day
and earn every bit of their weekly pay.
They work in mud and sleet and snow
and go where others dare to go.

They work alone and with each other
and that is why we call them "BROTHER"
They climb where angels fear to tread
They never look down in fear or dread.

So, don't wait till the bye and bye
to say a prayer to the one on high
for men on whom we all reley,
bless the ironworker in the sky.

OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILYS!

The non-union side is also sad. We are all brothers in Gods eyes. Peace be with the family's involved. My prayers are with you.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
