Viken Still Missing - Taylor County -- One month after she disappeared, Jean Viken is still missing.

my support goes out to Jeans kids and jeans family. she went to highschool with my dad, was our neighbor for 7 years, and is/was best friends with my mom for 11 years.

Seeing the kids every morning at school.. brings pain to my stomach and a lump in my throat. Being a mom of kids the same age and hearing what a great mom she was to those kids... makes me just sick that someone could do this evil act to her! to those kids! I pray they caught this person or persons for her family to have some type of comfort - if there is comfort in this situation. I pray god watches over these children as they grow. I did not know Jean at all... but I saw her picture numberous times and think of her everytime I see these beautiful healthy children she had. I hope the killer can not sleep .. eat or anything! This person or people deserve the electric chair in my eyes... to bad state of wi does not have it!

I live in Taylor County and know some of Jeans’s family. All I can say is that where are the cops and the district attorney Karl Kelz. What are they doing there are three unsolved murders in the county and Sheriff Daniels keeps saying were working on it " were close" we have people of interest. Daniels has been an investigator and worked at the department for over 20 years and he still says were close. District attorney Kelz states "I am the best man for the job the only prosecutor that is hard on crime in the county." Well Kelz, from what I read in the paper and heard on www.wiseye.org dealing with the Supreme Court hearing /John Doe complaint against you. You have been DA long enough you don't support victims; you don't do your job. You have been accused of a number of crimes. You plea deal your cases, I have heard your so lazy your not ready for cases that they take 2-4 years to get justice. You offer criminals two years in county jail for driving drunk and killing three one being a baby. I think you’re more of a joke. You been ran out of Marathon County for harassing a elderly lady for feeding squirrels you had problems in Dodgeville and know you have had huge problems with women in your office I am surprised you haven’t been charged with sexual harassment. You had problems with a police chief and your lies against him, you have had problems with your lies about county board members, and you used your office for personal gain. You lost the trust of the public. Your not a DA, you and Daniels are possible criminals your self. Why don't you admit your have no clue who kill Jean or Terry and allow some professionals to come into your county to solve the crimes and investigate you. Why keep giving the tax payers and Jeans family false hope and keep playing the games of smoke and mirrors. Give it up and resign or the people will recall you, something has to be done the people can’t take much more.

First, my heart goes out to Jean's family and friends. I had a family member who was murdered in Taylor county, so I know the frustration and pain that comes with a awful crime. Curious, do you really expect the police department to disclose their evidence to the public?? Wouldn't the criminal then try to point the finger at someone else, or get rid of more evidence?? Also sometimes the evidence doesn't come forward right away, and if the police don't have enough quality evidence they won't be able to make any charges stick. So they collect it peice by peice -hence "we're working on it" !!! Seems to me you just want to bash Mr. Daniels and Karl Kelz?

What is going on with this case The county now has two unsolved cases. Its time people hold people accountable. Why do we need cops if they can't solve big crimes
