Steger School District 194

I was intrested in getting a job at one of the steger schools. Someone told me not to because it is one of the worst places to work at. Is this true?

i applied and never got a call even after a follow up call.

go to the schools website. they post all job opening for the schools.

if applying for a lunchroom position you better know the food service director.. if you dont, then you wont get in. i used to work there and lost my job because i crossed her. i worked there for 3 years and when she took over she hired her "friends".. good luck!

She is also a big bitch and really hard to work for. It would be better to get in the school and not the lunchroom.

all that is said about this lady who runs the cafeteria at central is true she is a very bitter lady especially after her husband left her for another woman.. I can see why he did . She likes to BUTT in everyones business and dog a person big time. if you're not in her click . I can go on and on about this bitter lady but, I am a christian and was told if you dont have anythng nice to say then dont say it at all so Good thing for you J.S.

That woman you are all speaking so badly about is a VERY nice woman. She is only doing her job. You people complaining are probably just pissed because you actually had to WORK instead of sit around and gossip. Do you have any idea how much money that woman has recovered for the district? Or how much healthier she has made the food for the children? And as for you "acleverone4u"...you call yourself a Christian? Thats the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard? I am ashamed that you use my religion's title yet speak about her marital status. Did her ex husband personally tell you the reason for their divorce? I highly doubt it. be my guest come find me I'm as open and honest as they come. Cant say that for 80% of this god forsaken town. And I bet your scummy ass is just as nasty as she is. Be careful of glass houses isn't that what they say? And as far as work I've worked probably more than you can possibly realize and gossip no thats the job for most of stegers 'residents. Marriage is til death do you part. Funny I see both of them walking and healthy I might add. No bitterness here Just stating the facts and I didn't post anything that the town of steger doesn't know already So dwell on that if you would!!!!'!!!!!

Wow acleverone4u, way to show such restraint. Really, kudos to you for listening to your inner christain voice and not totally bashing a woman in a public forum while using an annoymous name. Im running off to church now where I can only hope to find such empathy and compassion as you have shown for this woman who has gone through such a hard, and dare I say private, time in her life. This site IS for posting comments. If you have something to say about the cafeteria or about the district, that is more than welcome. You are talking about someones personal life, their marriage. You aren't even telling the truth on top of it all. What does anything happening in someones home have to do with the schools? Lets stay on topic.

okay topics about cafetria... My kid comes home sick after eating there Not just once but many times since shes took over. Several of his friends says the food is not good. And the way its runned they dont have time to eat. So now my child brings a lunch. Now the district... the school Ive witnessed first hand where my dollar goes. not into the teaching thats a fact. The no student left behind act "WHAT A JOKE" I can go rounds with all you people on that topic. Discrimination WOW another topic that I can go on forever here but no time to deal with people who are stuck in their mentality of what they think is right when more than half this town know how it really is. You need to vote HA what for we all know it does no good in this town I give it 2 more years before the rest of the real people in steger are gone.

OH yeah we have all had a hard life one time or another and yes that doesnt give anyone the right to say things about people, but when people in turn judge people that they think they know and continually knock them down I say all is fair in love and war

The "No Child Left Behind" is a federal mandated program. Blame the government, not the school.

I blame the school when calls have been made to help the child (not only just for little issues or bigger issues) and not get any responses only to be told the teachers do not and cannot respond. I find that very disturbing when they can help despite the government rules. Most parents dont care I on the other hand care about my childs education and not only do I pay for that with my tax dollars I find out that they dont do the job that they are suppose to do. But god forbid if your child gets out of line with a comment....They are labeled and for rest of the school year especially with the help of some of their employment. And to complain about it or try to do something about it makes it even worse for the child attending that school and thats where the discrimination comes in.. They want you to come to the meetings show up and shut up thats their motto

It is a ridiculous town. I agree, thats why I moved to Bourbonnais. So continue on with your rants about the town. The Christian God that I know teaches that ONLY HE CAN JUDGE. Which in my translation means you think you are as high as God. Thats a sin if i recall...hmmmm seems to me your a sinner and I hope you burn in the depths of hell for that. The food service director is one of the most amazing people I have met in my life. And since your such an open and honest person...how about your name?
