Western Cherokee of Salem

I heard that there was a Western Cherokee Tribe in Salem, MO. I was wondering if they were a tribe or just a bunch of wanna be indians.

i would like to know about this john watson peson. Is he as bad as he seams?

There are 3 or more John Watson's in the Salem area and all of them are good people. Most all the Watson's I ahve met are known to be good people.
Isn;t it funny, no sooner than a question about wanabes comes in a question, someone brings my family into this! Watson is one of the largest and oldest families in Dent County, would you like to question this "cherokee".

all i know of him is what i have read on the net. So I thought i would ask the question. I have heard that the john watson who was in the western cherokee over there was a lyer and a cheat and all he cared about was himself. So like i said i thought that i would ask.

Are you saying the Western Cherokee is a recognized tribe? I didn't realize there were any recognized tribes in Missouri.

You are right there are no Fed. recognized tribes in MO. and if you want to know the truth i do NOT want the Western Cherokee to get it either and who would want that. I know that the reason that J.W. wanted it is for his own profits and not for the betterment of the tribe.
And yes I do know J.W. he is the biggest peace of garbage and he has no cherokee in him it has been proven, he is as crocked as lola. All that he cares about is himself.
As far as the Western Cherokee as being a joke (as you say) if we are such a joke why is the CNO so scared of us getting State rec. they have tried to stop us in the past.

Why would I want to go to a powwow with people that show so much hatred for their fellow man? I don't know much about powwows but the few I have been to are not about what I am hearing on this board. I didn't see where anyone was claiming to be in charge of anything, what are you so afraid of Secret?

Such hatred I am hearing from some of you, most always this kind of hatred comes from within and the way your life has been, not the person you are spending so much time on. The only thing I know to say is karma, if he is as bad as you say it will come back on him, if he is not it will come back on you. John Watson has not sufficiently even proven he has native blood. He does not come from the Watson clan south of Salem. I heard he received a card from lola sholl who did not verify his lineage. It is my understanding that his ex-wife was cherokee. Watson himself made a statement in front of several Southern Cherokee that he wasn't cherokee but that he would be now. What is God's opinion of those who lie?

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord. Prov. 12:22

Will those who lie benefit? God tells us that, A lying tongue is but for a moment. Prov. 12:19 Those who lie may benefit for a short time but they will not escape punishment. A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies will not escape. Prov. 19:5

It is to our benefit then to be truth bearers and not false witnesses. For those who speak lies will be punished.

There are different ways of bearing false witness. It may be an outright falsehood, it may be with rumors or it may be subtle. Consider the advertiser who would have you believe that buying their product will give you a better sex life, as can be seen in many car, perfume and jeans adds. Consider the 'whiter than white' advertisement that boasts a better laundry detergent. Sit through a few of the Saturday morning kiddy advertisements and see how many misleading ads you can spot. The world of advertising is full of misrepresentation if not out right falsehood.

Unfortunately many parents lie to their children at an early age. The adults, who children should be able to trust to always deal truthfully with them, tell the most bald faced lie imaginable and think that their child's trusting belief is 'cute'. These parental lies break trust between parent and child as well as giving our youth the impression that everyone lies, even mom and dad? Not many parents can honestly claim that they are always truthful and above board with their children. Yet we must be if we are to set the right example.

If God's law against bearing false witness were in full effect there would be no more 'cover ups'. No group mentality where one segment of the populace, be it cultural, political, medical or even religious, felt it necessary to cover the facts in order to 'protect their own'. Everyone would be honest and straight forward.
