I would be afraid of getting rolled out at the place in the "late night hours". Better come a packin'.

Nothing says "Welcome To Our Community" like an adult sex store. Everytime I meet someone new to our little corner of the world I always ask..."Have you been to the Lion's Den? "Well, if you haven't, your missing an exquisite collection of the most degrading, vulgar and just downright nasty depraved sexual activity in this county!" Make sure you get out there as soon as you can!" Think for a minute people...what do you think that establishment does to the mind of influential young people? It teaches females that they can profit from selling themselves and their bodies. It gives males the impression that women are willing to be treated any way imaginable for money. Sex sales, true enough, but is that good for future business prospects for our community? Hell, is it even good for the community at all? If I wanted to move say, a movie theater into this area, would I put it next to the sex shop? Well, if it were an adult cinema I would, but you would get your porn cheaper next door. How about a nice resturant? Yeah, we'll have a steak, then go rent some porn! Sounds like I just hit the jackpot! Seriously, remove this cancer from this town, we've got enough to worry about. Combine porn with the meth addiction in this town, you've got a NASTY situation on your hands...I mean NASTY in every sense of the word.

Why would your response to my opinion generate a personal observance about my emotional state concerning anger because I didn't put in a good money making business? If I were to stoop to your level of thinking, I could conclude that you may have some affiliation with the establishment based on your tone of disrespect in your post. However, I tend not to get personal about individuals based on opinion. It is easier to disagree with respect. So, keeping that in mind, I will agree that the Lion's Den is not the sole reason for youngsters having sex, that is human instinct. However, it is in no way a brght spot in our community. Your right to defend is understandable, but do not make personal speculative comments that you have no substantial proof of, that is petty and shallow. Not to say that you are, only to say that you do not know me, if you did, I'm sure we would come to an understanding about personal comments. Comment on the subject matter of the post, just don't get personal, not necessary.

Do you bitch and gripe about all sex stores in the world or just the one in Steele? Steele is not the only city that has sex stores. How about liquor stores? You against them as well? If God didnt want these businesses around he would not have made man smart enough to invent such things to open a business like such. I must admit I have been in both places and see nothing wrong with either. I dont drink nor do I have or buy sex toys but not everyone is like me. Every person is different and have different desires so therefore with that said, I say let the folks with these businesses make a few bucks. With the economy the way it is I sometimes wish I had a money making business.

If you are married and have a boring sex life, you should try toys to spice it up. Me and my husband use toys and it makes it that much more pleasing and fun for the both of us. Don't knock it until you at least try it !

I say let the good times roll. Hell, at least in there line of business they have plenty of job security. Steak house on the other hand, well not everyone wants a steak more than once a week..lol Sex on the other hand, well that is a little different. Nothing wrong with a little roll playing now and again. At least with those products there is no teen pregnacy or STD's. Safe sex is good sex and thats about as safe as you can get I guess. So, Rock On Lions Den..
I love it

to whom ever absolute power is, i have something to say also. SHUT THE HELL UP!!!! you do not know me or anyone i work with at the lions den, so how do you know what happens there? since you are such a great person have you ever heard judge not yet ye be judged? what people do in and with their sex lives is none of your business. as for what you think of the store i work in, i probably saw you the other night. i work with good people, mothers and fathers who provide for their families. why do have a problem with that. the lions den is not in steele, it is in the county district. will they put a movie theater beside it? no because it is private proberty. i have a good and fun job that pays well and allows me to take care of my kids, oh yea and im married. isnt that horrible a mother, a wife who goes to work to take care of her children. if you dont like our store dont walk threw the door. understand?

It took me a minute to determine how to reply to this. I try to pride myself on using logic and above all else, not getting personal when stating an opinion. In this case, however, my past "Street Mentality" that I still posess, even though I'm in my 30's and have really become adept at controlling it, almost got the better of me. I could have just showed up there, because I never like to talk alot when I am going to take respect. Then I read a little closer and realized this was typed by a female, so let me apologize for my train of thought. I cannot stoop to your level of intelligence. If you disagree, that is your right and privelage. Consider this, not once in my previous post did I say anything about what is right or wrong for consenting adults. I only stated my opinion on the potential detrimental effect the establishment could have on the community. Why do you think it is on the outskirts of town? Could it be because a PORNOGRAPHY SHOP would not be considered "Respectable" smack dab in the middle of town? Wonder why that is? I also never made a statement that I was a great person, not once did I make a personal comment about myself. Read the content of the subject matter. Now, I realize that it is only human nature for someone to defend their place of employment, but it's not somewhere you'd want to take your little ones and introduce them to your boss, now is it? By the way, I don't really think it is pertinent to quote a passage from the bible while saying you work in a porn shop in the same context. I'm no religious professor, but that just seems a little out of place. Now, I must admit, I was harsh in my initial post, not considering that some financial lives are at stake there, that I will acknowledge. Also, it is to be admired that a mother works and takes care of her children, why even use the sarcastic explanation of being a terrible mother? That was not necessary. You must be an extremely tough-minded person, especially when your children ask you where you work. I mean that with all sincerity, not disrespectfully. The idea that a women does what she has to do to support her children has to be commended. Just try to comment about the subject matter, not the person. That is petty and unecessary. One more thing, if you worked there when it was Duckies, you might have seen me. Finally, when the comment "what people do in and with their sex lives is none of your business," was typed, did you not realize the irony in that statement? You are right, it's not my business...It's the Lion's Den business!

Why are you griping about the Lions Den? NO one under 18 is allowed in there. You must have ID to get in there. Leave the people alone. Are you going to judge everyone for where they work. Gambling is concidered a sin do you bitch about the boat up at c-ville or the ones down in Tunica. Or is it that you are so addicted to going into the Lion's Den yourself that you want to draw attention away from yourself. Don't judge

Let me see if I can spell this out: READ THE CONTEXT OF THE POST! No individual was judged by me. Just because you have to be 18 doesn't mean youngsters cannot get to this filth. If you worked at a steel mill and I stated that it needs to be moved because it is polluitng the air, would that make you individually responsible? I think not. Please, read the post thoroughly!!!!!
If you read any of my previous posts you would understand (Maybe) that I have judged no individual. And please, do not let your reading comprehension skills fail you, I make no personal attacks, so try to use intelligence,(However abundant or limited it may be) before you make assumptions about the man. Comment on the message. To provoke intelligent conversation is one thing, to insuate (As I have seen several times) that I am speaking on aything other than the topic is pure ignorance.

The thing is being 18 means nothing. The world wide web gives them an open door without an ID so if you think about it what the heck is the differance? Absolutly nothing! It will tell you to go back if you are not 18, well what curious kid is going to go back? NONE! As far as calling people ignorant, well that is a little childish because not everyone has the mental capasity or the education that some claim they have.

You did not judge one person you judged everyone that works there. I myself feel that its a good thing to have around. People are sometimes unsatisfied with their sex life, and toys or sexy undies help in that department. But I am guessing that you sir are perfection.

Absolute Power, you obviously are an intelligent individual. I’m wondering why you are wasting your time with this subject. Do you not know the meaning of “casting pearls before swine?” Of course you are free to do as you please. Personally I see it as a waste of time to continue to talk sense to a bunch of idiots.

how can you tell me im being petty when you are the one saying that we are having sex in the back room? i am no an idiot, so understand who it is that you are talking to before you continue to judge me. i have more religon hanging around my neck then you obviously have in your hole body. my children do know where i work and they have met my boss and many of the people i work with. but unlike you my kids are good people who dont judge someone by where they work. read the context, well read your own context, then tell me who i am and what it is that you think i do. i am well educated, and i understand plain english. you want to confront me, be my guest. you think you are better than me because you can type words that make you sound more imortant than me, wrong again! i am 32 years old, i work 40 hours a week, i take care of my kids to the best i can, but one thing will never change about me and that is this. I CANT STAND IDIOTS!!!
