I knew Dennis Heberlie, and he was the sweetest guy, around, and he is greatly missed and loved, and I believe that Justice will win, if not here than God will punish Koon, and all those who are covering

I am so, ashamed of some of the Ste Genevieve residence. How can you say that you are humane when you wish death upon someone? How can you call yourself a religious person, after condemning someone because they do not live up to your own potential? After reading some of the reviews posted in "The Ste Genevieve Herald" this week, I come to wonder who you are to judge Dennis Heberlie so, brutally. If wrong doing was done it needs to be investigated to it's highest and not just swept under the rug. No matter who you are or who you know, the law is there to protect it's citizens, it's innocent.

I knew Dennis Heberlie would never hurt anyone, he was a good neighbor and was always waving to people and he loved to listen to music alot, and when i would go for a walk up the road from his house he would wave to me and others around. So anyone who did'nt know him well should beleive others that he's a good person, and Koon i think should be charged for that because Dennis was innocent.

I didn't know poor Dennis, but I'm quite familiar with law inforcement and the court system in Ste. Genevieve-------and they really suck. They cover for each other in hiding their mistakes. I drove for over sixty miles to the Ste. Genevieve police station to file a complaint and couldn't even get an officer to come out and talk to me, even though the parking lot was full of police cars, and at least two officers were on duty at the station. I don't know what they were hiding from, but Dennis would have been a lot better off there, at the police station. It seems you can get murdered more easily at home, or at the grocery store. The court system will decide later which evidence they want to get rid of.

Is it the city police that sucks or the sheriff's department, too? I know it was pretty bad a couple of years ago, but I thought the police department was improving. Have you called the mayor, I'm sure he would like to hear from you. I understand there is no Chief at the police department and I bet that has alot to do with any current problems.

What happened?

The Ste. Genevieve police department is by far the biggest joke in law enforcement, ever. Just last week, my good friend who is only 15 years old was tackled by an officer for fliping him off. He was again tackled a few minutes later and called a punk ass teenager by the officer for haveing a smart mouth. He now has 2 chipped teeth and a busted head. Since then, I have been harrassed time and time again by the SGPD. I will be filing harrassment charges against the PD very soon. Hopefuly they don't shoot me and lie on me like the corrupt cocksucker they are. FUCK THE SGPD.

I think the sgpd are doing a very fine job. They are one of the best law enforcement departments I have ever seen.I think dennis heberlie got what he deseved.As for the punk ass tennager they should of tackled him again and beat the crap out of him.Then they should of broke his damn finger that he flipped them off with.You see the real problem in st. gen is you backward ass inbreds who will not get off your sister long enough to see the fine job they really are doing.Haha dennis.and bravo SGPD you should be proud of your fine department.

The Ste. Genevieve Police Department and the Sheriffs Department are both a joke. I wish the Attorney General would come and investigate some of the claims. The sheriff's department pull guns on people out in the country...just to do it.

I did not know this guy or what happened. It's always sad when anyone looses their life over an act of violence and my sympothy is for the loss of the family but I have to say I think the ste. gen city and county police departments are sure busting their ass on cleaning up the meth in the area and I do appreciate that. Every year they get at least 50 or more of those loosers off the streets and that makes Ste. Gen a safer place to be. I think they do a good job.

REALLY? This is the one of the most outlandish statements I have ever read! How can you laugh at the murder of a man. SGPD has some serious issues, yes, that is true. Yes, there are a few cops who try, who IDK, but I am giving the benefit of the doubt, so I don't sterotype all. But to say ha ha, to a man you didn't know, who was one of the greatest men I have ever known, and by far a greater man than you, is one of the most messed up things I've read on here. What right do you have to laugh at this man and his family? Have you no compassion? What if it was you who watched a cop break in for no reason, shoot and kill your uncle, now imagine your 14, or 12 or that it was your son or your brother? That family has been through hell...and why? Because an officer decided he could do what he wanted and get away with it.
