Would public transit benefit the city?

The future of the area will depend on mass transit, with the ongoing energy crisis, it makes sense to upgrade transportation. The longer we wait the more costlier it will be.

Why don't all the bedroom communities demand that our tax dollars help to pay for rail and bus lines from Statesville to Rock Hill SC and Concord to Gastonia. Oil is predicted to go to $ 200 dollars a barrel by the year 2010. It would take vehicles off the road reduce congestion, pollution, etc. We need forward thinking politicians to get on the bandwagon and quit dragging feet. Remember come November when you vote. We need to elect politicians who are behind us not obstacles. Quit crying it costs too much. When is it going to be the right time and less expensive? The politicians in Mooresville are especially negative. They want to get rid of the Charlotte Cats buses now saying it costs too much and we could use the 95,000 more wisely. Ha! Ha!
