This guy needs to be charged with child neglect, stripped of his gun rights, and put in jail. If any other "non-police officer" parent was this obsurdly careless, they would be behind bars right now. Seven years old - makes me sick

When does it stop, that children are finding guns of ill responsible people. This time it's police officer. The public want to throw the mother of that little boy who accidentally shot Amnia under the jail. Now we have someone who handles weapons everyday, who should know to secure weapons and keep them away from children, was so careless. He need to be held accountable for his action or lack of. I hope we don't see a double standard because of the differences. The officer should be charged and removed from the force. It's a TRAGEDY another child shoots another because another adult didn't secure their weapon.

Don't you think that this law abiding, peace officer will suffer everyday for the rest of his life knowing that his irresponsible actions caused his child to be killed at the hands of his other child.

Not only does he have to deal with the guilt when he looks at his living son, who has to grow up knowing he shot his sister, but also every time he thinks of his daughter know that she's dead because he made a stupid mistake.

Isn't that punishment enough? This was a loving, hard working father, who legally had the right to have a hand gun (not a felon) who's entire world was turned upside down and his actions could have prevented the whole thing. Trust me. I think he's learned his lesson and will punish himself for the rest of his life.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Taurus

You have a very high opinion of someone today. In fact, you're really impressed with them and you'll probably sing their praises to anyone who'll listen. If you meet someone for the first time now, you'll be very impressed and this will never change throughout your relationship. But try not to idealize them into something they're not.
