Deleting discussions

So if someone clicks on report a comment does the discussion get taken down or what? I've seen this happen on other city's topix too. I'll get all into the gossip then it just disappeared! Does that mean someone got mad and reported it or what?

Yelp I think it's quit great, stupid post that are pointless get deleted....maybe this one LOL.

I think it kinda defeats the whole point of topix! Sure some is gossip but sometimes the truth comes out about people or situations and people need to know. Then someone gets mad or scared and they have the post deleted! I understand if someone is making threats or doing illegal activity but not if folks are just talking about people!

Okay if they are talking about people, the person or person's have the right to delete it. If its all bs and stupid again anyone has the right to. If you don't like it get over it! I hope they take this stupid site down.!!!!!

If you report a post, the people at Topix will review it and see if it or the entire thread needs to be taken down. They're pretty good at getting rid of what needs to be gone, especially if it has someone's actual name posted.

I was just wondering! I read their terms and couldn't find any info about how that worked! So if no one complains it stays up? I know I've seen some pretty nasty comments here in "Stanton"

No need to be a smart ass! I'm just asking question trying to figure out how it works! Why are you so defensive? If you hope the site is taken down why are you on here in the first place? I think the site is intended for positive discussions and to inform people in each community. If you're you're just on here to be mean and hateful you should find something else to do.
