Father sues Moriarty parlor over teen daughter's tattoo

These damned tatoo parlors are nothing more than legalized graffitti huts. Yechh!!
Not attractive, not sexy, not macho, not artistic... on males OR females.$75 thou to get them removed? Wow, the father must be quoting a Hollywood clinic.

This should be summarily dismissed. The law they're citing WASN'T A LAW at the time this took place. Not to mention that his daughter was out on the town at 2-3am, obviously hanging out with a bad crowd, and 'dating' a much older man. She also defrauded the tattoo artist by producing a fake ID.

Where was her dad when it was time to enforce a curfew? Didn't her dad teach her that fraud is illegal? What about promiscuity?

Way to teach your daughter some personal responsibility.

Tatoos? I don't believe in any kind of "permanent disfuguration" that can be avoided. However, in this case, I think Dad just sees a way to get someone else to food the bill for his daughter changing her mind and for his lack of parenting. Why isn't the fake id an issue? Because it weakens his case.

Only my opinion...tatoos are disgusting and degrading. The daughter should work to pay for the removal, if she was smart enough to use a fake ID, she should be samrt enough to figure out a way to pay to have them removed.

Why don't parents pay attention? I would like to know why this father didn't see the tatoo.

it could not be avoided, she paid him and so he HAD to do it.

No Ill, I don't stip and examine my 16 year old daughter. I do know where she is and if she's trying to hide something. It's called being a responsible parent.

Photocopying is usually standard practice in a tattoo parlor just for this reason. I hope this parlor practiced this they are covered. This should be dissmissed either way. She had ID (eventhough it was fake) and the law wasn't in effect. Dad needs to take resaposibility for his parenting.
