How is it possible to have Sheriff David Castle appointing an internal investigation and at the same time have John Strandell, investigative chief for the Division of Criminal Investigation conducting an inquiry into the events which cost Mr. Corbe his life? It seems the two are in direct conflict with each other. Perhaps it is time for the County to have independent auditors monitor its diciplinary in-house problems and remove personal issues from clouding the judgement of our law enforcement personnel.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
