When something appears to be too good to be true, it probably is a scam
Most of the parcels are in there for a reason. I do know of one person who made a mint. He bought some land locked acreage .But he owned a helicopter timber company.. so he went in there and logged it out .. of course he found out ahead of time that he could log it, but no one had done it before because there was no rad access.. But heard of plenty others who lost money in these things. |

Did you find a real estate attorney? I am also seeking to take action against NRLL.

NRLL sold a vacant lot to another buyer a few days after we bought the same lot from NRLL. NRLL Escrow then recorded the 2nd buyer's Deed one month prior to recording our Deed with the Recorder's office. When our Deed went to the Assessor's office, they could not update the parcel's record with our information because there already was recorded owner.
We had bought this lot from NRLL couple years ago and just recently found out that we are not the recorded owner of the land we purchased. NRLL keeps insisting we are the owners per their internal records, but I've investigated with the Assessor's office and found out who the other owner is, when their deed was recorded, NRLL's Contract No. pertaining to the sale of our land to the other owner. So when I contacted NRLL again with all this info, they said their Deed Dept would investigate and get back to me. It seems like they have commited fraud. The investigator I spoke with at the County wanted me to keep in contact with him regarding what NRLL plans to do about this "mistake." Has this happened to anyone else? What is my recourse? |

I just got of the phone with a company in horseshoe bay Texas and they informed me that my lot was extremely overpriced. And, while inquiring how to begin the process to file a class action lawsuit I ran across this site. So if you are really interested in getting a suit going, please email me back and let's get the ball rolling.

Oh, I guest I did it wrong a minute ago. I purchased land from NRPI as and sure enough I too found out that the land their selling is worse than preditory lending.

I went to one of their auctions and was immediately put off by all the noise, hype, and the guys running up and down the aisles in tuxedos. I did not buy anything because the whole atmosphere screamed "SCAM".

NRPI sold out all of their land in Horseshoe Bay & Bella Vista Arkansas. The values are increasing. I'm building a house in Bella Vista on what they sold me 2 years ago.

Does anyone know how to return the land I won in the bidding at LandAuction from their auction at Flushing, NY last Aug. 19 '08? I found out from a person in the community from that town (where the land I won in the bidding) in Upstate NY that it floods on that land during spring and not mentioned in the description of the land.
I called their customer service and was told that if I default to pay for 90 days, they will file a default proceeding against me in the court and this will eventually ruin my good credit rating and will be more in debt from lawyer fees. I wish that I have read this forum before I was convinced by my "friend" to go with her in this auction and bid. Something really need to be done to stop this deceiving company from victimizing trusting people by selling to them defective lands. The payments with very high interest rates they get from these people are hard-earned money and most of them get 2 jobs to keep up with the monthly payments for the land with unrevealed defects (defects which you will know if you made thorough investigations and not only thru ocular inspection nor by asking the town clerk!) "Yala" is right, there must be a class action lawsuit against the owners of this NRLL (aka LandAuction.com and by some other names) so they won't have vicitims anymore and they should rot in jail for shattering some people's dream to own a piece of land where they could build their house which they could call their own and live in peace. I wonder why the NY District Attorney's office doesn't make any investigations on this company, for sure there is someone who has filed a complaint, if none, probably I would be the first one. |
