I’m from Texas. In Texas we have the death penalty. And we USE it.

That’s right, if you come to Texas and kill somebody, we will kill you back. That’s our policy.

They’re trying to pass a bill right now through the Texas Legislature that will speed up the process of execution in heinous crimes where there’s more than three credible eye witnesses. If more than three people saw you do what you did, you don’t sit on death row for 15 years, Jack, you go straight to the front of the line.

Other states are trying to abolish the death penalty … my state’s puttin’ in an express lane.

I think it takes something like 20 years in Texas for a death sentence to be carried out.

Those convicted who receive the death sentence are afforded every possible appeal - at public expense, of course.

I currently have a friend who is about to go on trial for a triple homicide. The death penalty is being sought. Is there a Death penalty protest group that goes and protests this act. The upcoming trial will be in Nacogdoches, the trial starts Oct 19th , or thats what is being said at this time. I would appreciate any feedback that has to do with the abolisshing of the Death Penalty. For those who believe in it, your comment is unnecessary, I respect you for your beliefs, please respect mine.
So sorry you have a friend who is a triple murderer.

That's a lot of people to be accused of
killing in cold blood.
One is too many.

This ending is always reserved for whom the ultimate penalty was crafted for.

No disrespect intended here.

If you expect a pass for your friend, and he's truly, without a doubt , 100% inocent....
I'm with you.
Live long and prosper.

If he is guilty of the crimes which earns a man the death sentence in Texas......

he might live another ten years
on death row. You can still be his buddy on the outside.

But,
I do believe that very bad people who do very bad things should be erased from the food chain.

Fair is fair.

And since you brought up God....

who made your friend God so he could murder
and just keep on living himself.

Your argument is weak.

I think people who
think life in prison is justice enough
should get their personal taxes raised
high enough to support these nuggets for the rest of their selfish murderous lives
until YOU feel it, for real.

That's a lot of money for the rest of your life
to subsidize their life for life.

You would be disgusted as I am
and broke forever as well.

I wouldnt call it an arguement, and who says he did the crime. It was almost 20 years ago, he's been no billed, then another time the grand jury refused to indict. Just now is the jury being selected- trial hasnt even started and the prosecutor is already changing her mind from the death penalty to life. Tell me that this sounds like there's not maybe a little chance of reasonable doubt. To kill him with this crap, how does that sound fair, how does that spell JUSTICE. The frickin prosecutor even knows the death penalty is not warranted. But again, the chance of you changing your mind, your belief, would be highly unlikely. I respect your opinion, even though it doesnt agree with mine.

Considering all aspects, pro death penalty or not, there is nothing "cool" about that. In order for you to get happy about someone getting killed for a murderer, there actually has to be someone there getting murdered to begin with. Is that something to be happy or excited about? No.
For any record to be broken there has to be a victim in each and every case to start with. Do you think that is funny? Do you think that the families of the victims think it's funny? Have some respect for those people, please. Either you're trying to act tough or you are truly sick.

That's all good, to you, until you or one of your loved ones end up on death row for something you didn't do. The justice system is far from perfect, it shouldn't be too hard to understand that.

In 1965 I was living and working in Dallas. Most mornings, while driving to work, I would stop at a 7-11 store. There was a middle aged widowed mother who worked there alone. She would laugh and joke with customers and, even though I can't remember her name, she was one of the nice folks of the world. One morning I stopped by and two police cars were there. I went inside and will never forget what I saw. Behind the counter at the cash register the floor was covered with blood. According to the policemen she had been stabbed repeatedly by a robber and left to die. I could see smears on the counter where she had tried to reach the telephone. I could only imagine the terror this lovely person felt as she died alone there.
Now, I want all of you do-gooder, anti-death penalty people to tell me what a just punishment would be for the person who killed her for no reason. Tell me how you would like to rehabilitate him and make him into a good citizen. Please tell me that you have some magic cure for his "problems."

Yes the justice sysiem is not perfect but it does a dam good job.

And YES EVERYONE on death row is Innocent . NOT

It's funny when a person go's to jail they find God .
And when they are in jail they feel sorry for what they did .
They are Not sorry for what they did they are sorry they got caught, and the reason they found God is to get out of jail.

Trying to convince "trove" of much of anything is a waste of time. She is now one of the European Groupies who love all the death row inmates.

There's never been a convict on death row who was guilty.

Just ask them!

No, the vast majority is probably guilty, but I don't think that keeping the death penalty is worth the risk of killing an innocent person.
