I was more than just a little upset when I heard the news. This is something my friends and I look forward to every year. It was a nice tradition and to get to do it in my home town was even better.
I'm not sure why the museum would make such a decision to cancel something that has been so successful. It doesn't make any sense. It's too bad.
I hope to see it next year. As usual, I'll be telling my friends and co-workers about it throughout the year.

To give some perspective as to why, perhaps... you did know that SMN&C has a preschool with around 100 3-4 year olds attending daily? I can tell you that my daughter while attending last year covered her eyes every day that we drove past it to get her to class. Yes, perhaps the board members decided there might be a better site for "Maximum Terror". It would be a shame if the organizers were unable to find a new place in Stamford since it is obviously popular for the older kids. Maybe when they say they want to focus on "young children" it's the very young children in Stamford they're talking about.

Stay out wrote: Cos Cob mom, get over yourself. Also, stay out. Love, Stamford. Stamford native. It is not such a nice place anymore. Take a look at the crowd outside the Ferguson. Streets are filthy, vacant storefronts all along Bedford Street. You are entitled to your opinion, I am to mine. Been to Disneyworld not the 'land. No comparison. Enjoy Florida.

Cathy and I welcome you all to our "haunted home" on Ocean Drive East for a little Halloween fun. We're going to serve hot cider and not to give away the scary stuff but my son Ben is going to play a home invader and try to barge his way into the area you're in. It's going to be a hoot. All "donations" will go to my campaign for governor. It may be a little presumptious but we look forward to hosting this next year in Hartford with all the "donations" going to my newly created "Dan Malloy Legal Defense Fund" just in case. Danny don't like getting caught with his pants down.

So, it is Halloween 2009 and what happened to Maximum Terror? Did they find a new location?
