These little girls now a days look older than they are and for her to have met him on two different occasions and had oral sex with him you can't sit here and put the blame on that man alone these teeneagers need to stay in there place and stop trying to be so dam grown! Where is the little girl parents and she might be pregnant tell where is the birth control or condoms that's crazy now they want to ruin this mans life that is not right at all! There are a lot of people out here messing around with young girls and if that was the case the prisons will be full!

Since when is 12 teenager??? She was still a child.
She may or may not have had negligent parents, but she's still a child - if she did have parents who neglected her, it wouldn't be at all unusual for her to be "looking for love in all the wrong places". She shouldn't be blamed if her parents weren't paying enough attention to her. Since we don't know anything about the parents, we really can't say...in this day and age, she could have been being raised by grandparents or a single mom working all the time with several other kids, we just don't know. 12-year olds are not usually capable of making mature decisions no matter what kind of parents they have. Peer pressure is a huge influence, even more so if the parents are absent physically or emotionally.

If in fact this 12 year old appears several years older and it could be proven she misrepresented her true age I have to agree with 'unknown_06901'. Fortunately for many both ignorance and stupidity are not criminal acts in and of themselves. Acts based on lies and deceit should be judged in the totality of the facts and whether a reasonable and prudent individual could determine the truth.

This article should never even have been in the paper to begin with. It was a crime against a 12-year-old. There is a victim here and this paper reports it as if because it was consenual it's not statutory rape. That's what the law is on the books for people. Ruin his life? TFB. He should have thought about that beforehand - even if she lied, doesn't matter. It's against the law!
