The Republicans and Democrats have had a long time to screw things up, and they've done a magnificent job of it. I am delighted to see an Independent on the ballot. Wilson will get my vote.

Voted For McDowell, Gary

Benishek is against government run health care, but he works in the government health care system as a surgeon at a veteran's hospital. He is on the government payroll. Ask Dr. Dan Benishek if that government program is any good.

Well as long as people are lead like sheep by the Republicans and Democrats thinking no one else has a chance to win then we will continue on with the same old crap.
It's time for people to stand of and vote against Democrats and Republicans.
Everyone keeps saying they want change, it will never happen as long as we keep the same two parties in office that put us in this mess in the first place.
Don't vote for who you THINK will win, vote for the candidate you WANT to win. Even if that candidate has no chance of winning at least you will have stood by your convictions.
STOP BEING SHEEP!
I'm in! Every vote I make will be for the candidate I find most suitable.

Voted For McDowell, Gary

Gary McDowell is a proven leader and deserves to represent the district. Benishek is running for office for all the wrong reasons. If one piece of legislation is what makes him think that it is now time to run for office, him must have a simple mind. Catering to the Tea Party is going to be his demise seeing that they are out of touch and have no idea how the government works. The constitution will always be a living document and should stay that way. I would be afraid to live in a world where we have cater to a government that has a cut and dry policy with no room for interpretation.

Glenn Wilson has no chance to win this seat. SO a vote for him is a vote for Gary McDowell. If you are willing to live with that reality, go ahead and vote for Glenn. He said he wouldnt get into the race unless Jason Alled won the republican primary, oops I guess he didnt mean what he said. Then he made a deal with his campaign manager that he would suspend his bid for the seat if he wasnt polling well on October first. His campaign manager quit on the first of October because he had no chance to win. Glenn persisted without his manager, and is taking votes away from Dan Benishek, which will give the election to McDowell. How can he live with himself.

We agree with Jim Knight and Benishrek will get 4 votes from this address.

We can't let McDowell in there.

I'm not 100% FOR him but honestly, if we once again DO vote for the best candidate and the masses don't follow suit...we could get McDowell and I'm dead set against him.

Sad isn't it? It comes down to the wire and we ultimately do the obvious.

I honestly don't see how anyone can vote for the established mainline parties anymore. How many times are people going to go from one party to the other, hoping for some good to come of it. Or doggedly keep voting for one party, regardless of their performance? It's ridiculous. Try something different this time. Maybe if both the democrats and the republicans are given a time out, they can become the parties that their staunch supporters deserve. But for now, neither one is. Pick an independant, or a lesser known party. Give someone different a chance. Don't keep going back to the ones who have burned us so badly almost every single time we vote one of them into office. There are more than two candidates on the ballot.

Voted For Patrick Lambert

A good man running on a small party ticket. He didn't have to sell any part of his soul to get on the ballot. Can the Dem and Rep candidates say the same? Also, ran his campaign on less than $3k, all from personal donations. THIS is what America needs, not big dirty politics.

But which candidate has a realistic chance of getting elected? Unfortunately not an independent candidate. So once again we get a choice between tweedle dee & tweedle dum....
I'll be voting for tweedle dum (the Republican) just to ensure gridlock reigns in D.C. That way they can't do any more damage than they already have.
That is exactly the enabling attitude that will keep us kowtowing to the two big parties. The realistic chances of election are up to us, the people. If enough people decide to vote who they would really like to see in there, then the parties will matter much less. Don't perpetuate the myth that only the two big parties deserve a chance. "We the sheeple" Indeed.
