Prince William County is in the process of its "Beautification Project." It started in Triangle. Will it be be extended to other parts of delapidated areas in the county? Is it a good idea. Are too many people being put out of their places of business to achieve the goal of revitalization. A lot of the old buildings that were bought by the county and torn down had been empty for many years. Some of them still had businesses in them. Hopefully, those people have found new places to continue their trades. On one hand, some of those places looked trashy. On the other hand, they were providing a service to the community. I used to work in one of them when I was very young. It's long out of business, but I do have mixed feelings about the area and the efforts by the county to revitalize it. If all the revitalization areas are extended through Woodbridge, could the whole area come back to being a really nice area. I remember it being kind of nice back in the 1960's and early 70's, even with the old buildings.

you mean the stretch of route 1 near quantico? where the burger king, hotel, and gas station were? they tore that DOWN DOWN DOWN. the hotel looked really bad and when they tore it down it looked like a bomb had exploded there. i hope they bring some businesses back and another hotel and some new businesses. plus it can help stabilize the economy and bring in some money to the county because there are other areas of business that need help (ex. teaching and schools)

YES, very true you have Prince william county figured out really well. It is a wondet that disneyland was not built on top of that 1st and 2nd Manassas battlefirld park, but not to worry the walmart get to build on the Wilderness battle field park down there in Orange county. the triage area will just be more fast food joints to keep the locals supersized, even Wegmann's is selling out to supersizing its eat-in menue, mabe they can find some lakes to drain for foxes to kill like they are doing down in C'ville because there was a roomer one bit a Wahoo

Yes, Jazz, I was referring specifically to the area near Quantico on Route 1. A lot of those places looked really trashy, right before they were torn down. I suppose my mixed feelings are due to the fact that I grew up in Triangle. It doesn't look anything like it did when I was a boy. Then again, those buildings were so worn out that it is time to replace them with more up-to-date buildings, with businesses that can serve the area well. I hope that there is a variety of the types of businesses that will eventually be located in Triangle. I like to think that the area can be built up to be a nice place. There are some new housing developments located behind Triangle Elementanry, and down the road, adjacent to Mockingbird Heights Road. I miss the old farm that used to be there. Hopefully, with the pricier homes will come upscale businesses.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Capricorn

Confusion reigns supreme today, especially when dealing with financial matters. You could get into a muddle when sorting out your accounts or when working out how much you owe someone, even though you may not notice this at the time. It certainly isn't the day for parting with large sums of money because the chances of something going wrong are very high.
