I lost a nephew to an auto accident she (driver) hit my sister in law in rear of van while she was stopped to make a turn into her road WELL guess what the driver walked almost free some community service, a few fines (nothing much though) Thanks to georgia law ** no blood test could be preformed, her license, was pulled night before for driving with no insurance and did not have her license. She blamed her passenger,He blamed her. She's still working at a local resturant, lives free daily,My nephews family lives with the horror of no child!!!!!!!!!

What the heck happened to common sense? You don't put children in the vehicle to drive. They do not have the mental capacity to deal with the responsibility. I feel sorry for all the families. This could have been avoided.

parents dont always have common sense, they just get too confident, and end up taking terrible chances with their children and sadly dont realize it till its too late.please do not let your children drive till they are old enough and responsible .its against the law to drive without a license my arianna would still be here today she was a passenger and didnt know any better she trusted her care giver like she was supposed to unfortunately

Must be nice to have the name McGowan here in Ludowici, Can't there be something done to her, What type of grand jury would find this person not responsibile???? Why wouldn't this case be taken OUT of the small hick town to a real jury!!! I believe in accidents, but it's not an accident when it could of been prevented!!!!!!!!! How can she just go about life like noting ever happened and how in the world can anyone leave there kids with her any more!! I JUST DON'T GET IT!!! Money talks and the quilty walks I guess.

This is my first time seeing this story. My heart aches for the two children who were killed. This was a preventable accident. To the grandparents who lost their granchil, and the parents who trusted in a babysitter....my heart aches, but what were these parents thinking?! There are laws in this country about driving, they broke the law, they endangered not only their child, but also someone elses!! he should have been punished to the fullest extent of the law. Child endangerment laws are serious, people are convicted every day for breaking the law even for leaving their child in a running car...and these people got away with this??? I don't get it.

When you have a grsnd jury that knows the Mcgowan name, why would you press charges. It's unfair and I am 100% certain that if the "babysitter" was an unknown person, charges would have been pressed. Ludowici has always been a corrupt town.

just want justice wrote: <quoted text> Alice would not have lost her child or any other child, had she been responsible enough not to give her daughter keys to a truck that she was too young to drive. If it was your child who died in this preventable accident, you would be singing a different tune. Alice was paid to care for Naomi's children and she failed to do that. She needs to pay for that. alice is my aunt and she did not mean 4 this wreck 4 this wreck 2 happen and it was there time to go any ways!!! so unless you know them dont say nothing

two words neglect and careless this was preventable its easy to justify things by saying it was their time to go and thats supposed to make every thing better? she may not have wanted this to happen but the reality is it did and hopefully eyes have been opened arni was pinned under that truck and no it is not okay
