12-year-old driver, 8-year-old passenger killed when truck runs...

The death of achild is heartbreaking. My tears are with all involved. I lost a son 6 years ago in an auto accident.

the eight year old was my grandaughter my heart is broken pain i will never forget

My two son's were in that truck, if the 12 year old hadn't been there, we would be putting 4 Kids in the grave insted of two. My prayers are with the families who have suffered this great loss. To all out there on the web do not judge this family, there is more love and understanding in the Mother's little finger than most people have in their whole body

I know the parents of the 12 year old girl , my girls had been to there house to play with them in the past. Her mother an father are very loving parents. My heart goes out to you all. My prayers are with you all. She will never be forgot , she will remain in everyones heart forever.

As a mother, Please tell me why the child of 12 or 13 was driving a truck with other children in it?

Thank you for your kind words. The 12 yr. old was my cousin. My heart and prayers go out to both families, this was a tragic accident.

Goes to show when someone you trust and u pay too babysit your kids espially this so called good mother which let a 12 yr old drive a huge truck with other kids inside down a road where she can not supervise them which kills an innocent 8yr old girl who would still be here if the mother of the 12yr would have just done her job and baby sat and took the trash her self the 8yr old would have been still here so say what u will about that women but it will come back to haunt her forever which it should let me just say irresponsiable parents dont need foster kids.!!!!!!!!!

Why so bitter? Are your children in foster care? If so, at least you have the chance to make up for the bad choices you made. These parents dont.

If you think you are such a perfect person then so be it.. but until you have walked a mile in that mothers shoes.. who are you to judge.. doesn't the bible say.. do not judge others, lest you be judged harsher yourself.. ok so we are not all perfect, we make mistakes.. until you are the one who can say you are perfect and without fault at anything.. how can you judge anyone.. My heart goes out to both families!!! It is a tragic accident... which could of been prevented but we can't live in the past so we trust in God and move forward the best we can... I know the family of the 12 year old and they are very loving and caring people...they would do anything for anyone.. they are devasted.. so please look at your own life and perfect it before you throw accusations.. and judgements at others.. Maybe you should read your bible again... Also this family does have to live with this and they don't need a bunch of self righteous... people hurling accusations.. as if they themselves have never once in their life made any error in judgement...

My heart truly goes out to you..

I went to school with Shawn and he is a good man and father. Everyone needs to understand accidents do happen so stop judging them for this tragic accident. My thought and prayers go out to all the family's that have been touched by this accident.

I went to school with Shawnee, she was a smart girl with a good head on her shoulders. She never meant for this accident to happen so please let her rest in peace and leave her parents alone. Put yourself in her parents place would you want people who didn't even know you to judge you as they are judging the McGowan's. Stop and pray for the pain and suffering and forgiveness instead of judging the. They already feel bad enough since they have lost their daughter and a neighbors daughter. STOP JUDGING OTHERS IT'S NOT NICE............

Yes.. The mother is my 1st cousin and the grandmother is my Aunt... I thank you for kind words and as you said it was a terrable accident. Hindsight is always 20/20. We will all miss BOTH girls and will always have them in our hearts.....

How DARE you judge the mother! You need to be praying for both families instead of putting blame on the mother. I know the mother, and her entire family and they are wonderful people. Don't you think the mother and father are suffering enough with the loss of their daughter and neighbor's daughter already? They don't need people LIKE YOU pointing the finger at them, that is not your job.
God makes the choice of when he wants to call his children home. It was their time to go and they could have been sitting in the lap of the mother and if was their time, there would have been nothing she could have done.
My heartaches for both families, and I will continue to pray for all of them, you might want to try and do the same thing instead of posting NASTY messages about people you DON'T KNOW!

Shawnee was one of my friends...she was a smart and pretty little girl...she still had her whole life ahead of her...noone expected for this to happen but things like this happen every day...my heart goes out to Shawnees parents...Ariona was also a very pretty girl...she was young....i had only seen her a coulpe of times but my heart also goes out 2 her parents...I also dont think that the peopls on her should be juding Shawnees parents like this...ya'll dont even no them...they have enough things to worry about...plus they still have another little girl to raise...and im sure that Shawnee wouldnt want ya'll to talk about her parents like this
