Strangers Come Together for Justice for Christopher Barrios

My heart goes out to this family. I have had many sleepless nights thinking about the innocense of that child. Our government system is horrible. Their over-protection of children from parents who believe in raising their children and disciplining them properly is out of control. The government will take the child, put it in a foster home where they are molested and/or killed. They will allow a sex-offender to roam the neighborhoods and just put them on probation. The law makers will one day appear before God face to face and give an account.

This is part of a letter written by Sara N and posted on the New York Sun web page on 4/9/07 regarding the Christopher Barrios murder. It carries such an important message that I thought it should be posted here also:"...Write to everyone. Write to the family and send your heart-felt compassion. Write to the television stations who will not cover this story, but continue to talk about Brittany Spears and Anna Nicole. Tell them you want to hear about Christopher. You can usually find their email address at the bottom or top of their web page. Take a moment to surf in the website, and you will find a "contact us" link. Please, please, write to these stations and ask them to cover Christopher's Law.
The only way our world will change is if we all speak out. And keep speaking out. Write to the sponsers of these shows who go on and on about celebrities instead of focusing on stories that help children. Tell them you will not buy their products. Sadly, money talks. But do what you have to do to get Christopher's name and story covered on their show."

It is so sad that with each passing day I see less and less of this story being covered. Even the posts are fading. I'm going to go post on each of the topics related to Christopher in order to keep this story going strong. I also think Sara N. has some wonderful ideas. Let's all do our part and click on the national news websites and do just as Sara says. Look out Nancy Grace here we come..........

I totally agree, the news castors, the media and especially nancy grace, they all need to focus more of the attention on that sweet baby christopher, im sick and tired of hearing about that damn anna nicole smith how is she more important than that presious child, noones better than anybody but they are focusing to much on a grown woman who obviously didnt care about her own life enough to be on all kind of presciption drugs and useing them just to get high!!! But that sweet little boy didnt ask for any of the horribe things those demon bastards done to him and he should be the main topic for years to come, we do need to send a message to all child molestors that this cannot and will not happen again! Christopher's life was taken horribly, anna nicole gave up her own life, let her RIP and focus on a child who still enjoyed life and who went through what we know to be hell on earth, he desearves all the attention, He desearves for the toughest laws against childmolesters to be in his name and more importantly, he desearves our time and dedication! I will write emails to all news castors and to nanct grace/ I have been waiting for her to talk about christopher for a month now, she was suppose to have had christophers family on her show to talk about his murder for the first time on friday the 23rd of march, but what do you hear~ Breaking news about anna nicoles autopsy report, I was so pissed, and she still has yet to talk about that presious angel!!! Im writeing her right now again, I already wrote onece asking when was christophers story going to appear on her show and I have yet to hear from her, the last email was nice, this one wont be!!!

Hi. Like most people that heard about Christopher I was extremely sad. I mean I have read about kids being hurt before but something about this child was different. I knew I had to do something! At the time, there was no info other than what happened to him. So I started a petition at www.petitions.com (Christopher Barrios Law). I just needed to do something in addition to mourning Christopher, Who I did not know. Christopher's father and family signed the petition. That let me know what I was doing was OK. I have spoken with Florida Lawmakers here and they have advised me not to go local. To go federal with changing the law. One of them told me that after I have at least 20,000 signatures and a lawyer that he would sponsor the bill and introduce it to Congress! So I have been working my butt off to get these signatures. I spoke with a lady named Donna Jordan, she says she is good friends of Michael Barrios. I have also received at least 2 e-mails from people wanting to send money. Those by the way I have asked to go to the Justice for Christopher web site. I have explained that all that I am soliciting is signatures. Both replied that they understood, and signed the petition. I have also spoken to a lawyer who is willing to work with me pro bono! Of course I have been doing most of the work which is fine. I just need her to look over everything after I have finished researching and writing. Did you know that 90% of children that were sexually molested and murdered were violated by convicted predators! That's a large number. I am currently researching how many sex offenders that are either on probation,parole or in prison have murdered children. It's a sick sick world. But I will work to get laws changed. and new ones in place! Let me know what you think.

I don't care WHO you are. ANYONE EVERYONE PLEASE I'm asking you please repost this so people can see it. It's very important to me. This is my little cousin and I love her. SHE'S ONLY 12 YEARS OLD. It only takes a minute to repost this.
You people can repost all these chain letters and surveys but this is something really important.
All my friends over on the coast (Puyallup, Tacoma, wherever) and even my friends in Spokane, PLEASE IM ASKING YOU repost this bulletin. My cousin has friends that were moving to Spokane so it is possible she could be in the area.
And if you're the praying type please pray for her. It can't hurt. If you see her please call the police and my aunt or me.

She was spotted today [Monday May 21] so we know she’s alive for now.
But its not safe out there for a young girl all by herself. So please keep reposting maybe someone will see and know something and we can bring her home.
**Update May 23** She's been missing for 4 days now and they have changed the case from runaway to missing child. She was on the news tonight.

The foundation wants to promote awareness of the risks these offenders pose in areas such as movie theaters, parks,malls, and neighborhoods. In addition to educating the public on risks there are also many suggestions on ways to keep yourself and your children safe. This is the primary goal of the Glynn Angels:however, the group will also provide financial assistance( through donations) to families that have been affected by crimes against children. The Glynn Angels are also circulating petitions to have stronger more effective laws against child molesters/sex offenders.
Tax-deductible donations can be made at any Bank of America branch, nationwide under the account name Glynn Angels of South East Georgia. Your donation could save a life and prevent an innocent child from being victimized.

From my understanding the name of your foundation has changed 4 times.The money you collected that is supposed to go to the families hasn't got there.the house you collected money for that was supposed to relocate them has never happened.So exactly were is the money going?

Yes, I have heard the very same things and have asked the very same questions. Hopefully the good people of Brunswick, GA will see this as the "SHEEP IN WOLVES CLOTHING" scheme it is. I am just a local citizen here in Brunswick GA. I am NOT affiliated with any foundation or organization. Just a local who was deeply touched by Christopher's murder and tried to help in my own way. I have done my "homework" here in Brunswick and have heard nothing good about this group at all. This seems to be a total SCAM of the most heartless proportions. In fact this Donna person has been collecting signed petitions that I distributed and God only knows what she is doing with them but they "mysteriously" disappear. I have heard through some pretty reputable sources that this group and this person, is not to be trusted at all. I have two family members who are in local law enforcement here and many other knowledgable friends who have told me NOT to trust them. Personally, my lawyer advised me to only donate to a foundation that has the LEGAL backing and paperwork to prove it, as DOES the JUSTICE FOR CHRISTOPHER FOUNDATION. That is where my donation went, and where any further donations from me will go. AMEN

Let the kids on the internet have their thrill, it will get old to them soon enough and you will come to find that the only people left are the ones who "TRUELY" care about Christopher and his family.

I think about this story all the time because I have a son around christopher's age. He is so helpless and the thought of anyone harming him make me sick. I pray that Chris is in peace with the Lord and the monsters that abused him are suffering in prison. I do not understand how God could allow something like this to happen to a child, so I am also praying for understanding and peace for myself.

It is confusing to try to figure out how god could let this happen to any child, and it does break one's heart to hear of such a horrible crime! I don't understand it either. Heaven is better place with Christopher in it. Desha, I also have a five year old and a 13 year old, and after hearing what happened to Christopher I am not the same. I hold my babies closer now, I couldn't imagine having to live with that.
