I, too, had a really hard time with this one. Looking at Christopher, seeing his beautiful eyes and knowing all the details made it very, very difficult to get through this. I can only imagine what the family has endured.

I would say it was about 3 months before I could think about Christopher without crying. That's a long time for someone who lives so far away and doesn't even know the child. I felt worse for him than for Jessica and I don't know why. They both suffered horribly.

Nonetheless, I keep Christopher close in my heart and watch out for children wherever I go. Just yesterday I was taking a walk in our local mall and notice a toddler, about 3, walking out of a store and leaving. His mother was talking to the clerk, who dimwittingly didn't bother to tell her that her son walked out the store. I just tapped her shoulder and pointed down the ways. She thanked me and immediately went after him. I took a peek back a few seconds later and she was then holding his hand.

It only takes a few seconds to lose sight of your child. Keep your eyes on your children at all times, and as DonJulito said, this is NOT the same world we lived in when we were children, or even our parents. We must all work together in watching our kids.

Christopher will never be far from my mind. The other night I watched this movie called Gone Baby Gone, and oh my gosh I thought of Christopher and weeped. One of the situations in the movie is so eerily similar to Christopher's murder. I will always remember and love the little hazel eyed stranger I never knew. Christopher Barrios sweet angel.

I am challenging everone to contact the DA's office to plead that no plea be given to any of these monsters!!! Remind him that they ( the Edenfields) did not grant Christopher's plea!!!

Christopher Barrios you are and will always be an angel. Many people here would like to criticize someone for coming on here and talking to you. It is unfortunate that talking to a dead little boy is more fullfilling than talking to some of these live women. You big brown eyes have never left my memory and that smile that warm and wonderful smile. You opened the world up to what could happen to our children when we don't pay attention, you made sense of something that made none. You brought millions of strangers together with one common belief, you murder your death was senseless, and though we may argue and ridicule one another, I as well. Truth is we would all love to take out our anger and frustration on the monsters that hurt you as opposed to taking it out on one another. Most people on here are sincere in there love for you and we know that you have moved on to a better place, more peaceful, where you can play and don't have to be afraid of who is watching you while you do it. You are loved by us all Christopher. You are the reason we hold our own babies closer, you are the reason we bow our heads at night by their bedsides and pray for there safety every day, and for god's guidence in helping us to help him keep our children safe.
