i don't want no wal-mart i want a mall. this is the only place where the nearest mall is like one hour drive. you know every military post in the nation and overseas is next to the mall. this includes hunter in savannah. hinesville is the only place in the entire world that doesn't have a nearby mall. because old people here don't think. old people still thinks we are in the year of 1978 and that we go to work in horses.

Even walmart is a drive for some of us. I live in ellabell and Pooler walmart is a good 30 minutes and Statesboro is close to 45 minutes. Give or take according to who you get behind LOL.

I would LOVE to see a Walmart or Target come to the area!!

Ooo and a Blockbuster!!

Why would there be a mall in Hinesville?
There's not enough business and the customers that would come are often not the... savory type.

The shops know that they can't sell enough to break even in smaller cities/larger towns and, especially in a place like Hinesville, the shoplifting rate would be through the roof.

If you can't afford gas then why are you gong to a mall in the first place?

I cannot see any reason for a mall. It will only be another hangout for teenagers and drug dealers.Who has any money to go to the mall. When the mgr of Dlr General has to check bags to see what you are stealing it is pretty sad. The police chief has enough to do just checking town and the hoodlums walking the streets all hours of the night.

dont tell me, tell that to the cows and the horses maybe they will listen, this is the year of 2008, we no longer milk cows and ride in horses. we need a mall because theres a big military instalation here and this town is the only one to refuse to have the progress come to town. fort stewart, ga is the only military installation in the world that doesnt have a mall nearby. all the military installations cities have progress except hinesville, ga wich is very famous for being the only town in the united states that is anti-military. hinesville hates the soldiers and their families. and this is very sad.

Louie-
in 1978 people were driving cars and buying milk...I think you mean to say 1878. Anyways, a mall in Hinesville wouldn't be successful as jjp has stated. Ours here in Brunswick is a dump and has kids running around unattended, clusters of kids up to no good. The groups of kids not in the mall stealing are in the parking lot breaking into cars! I prefer Wal-Mart to the mall, anyday of the week! It is 2008, I shop for my clothes online, not at the mall...the mall is so 1990, computers shopping is the now! You must be getting old yourself to think malls are still where it is at!

you have a mall in brunswick and here we dont , so the best thing to do is to close the brunswick mall and have it open here. you dont need the mall right? well let us have it then, because we want it here.

Obviously you have not been to many military installations all over the world. LOL Last time I was in Camp Casey, I didn't see a mall. And that is not the only installation. If you have soooo much money, get in your car and go to Jacksonville, they have FOUR big malls there. The income in this town does not justify a big mall developer to come into this town. Do your math !!

If you have enough money, build your own mall!
Obviously the Developers whom are experienced in this field have not justified the economic benefits from such ventures in your town. Believe me if they smell money, they will build, for Example, you have a wal mart there.

If you can’t afford the GAS, to get to the nearest mall, maybe your concerns are misdirected. Perhaps you should be concerned with Finances. Once that is solved then you can take on the stress of not having a Mall at your door step. If you feel so strongly about the Mall and all the culture it offers, maybe you should move next door to one? Where you can save your gas and walk to the waste land shopping outlet. But for now I would stick to riding your bicycle to the Dollar General Store… If you don’t like where you live “MOVE”…

Louie sounds like a child looking for someplace to hang. Malls all over the country are loseinig stores and closing like crazy. Louie thinks their living in the dark ages but he seems to be lost in the 80's. Malls are a bigone era.
