Thank you for your interest in FiOS. It will be at least 2008 before we get to Dunedin. Part of the problem is our lack of franchises in Pinellas. If we succeed with our efforts to get statewide franchise legislation in Tallahassee this year, that will certainly make market entry easier.

I have Verizon FIOS service in 3 of the 4 rooms in my house. I have their competitors through my HOA in 1 of the 4 rooms in the house and when my friends come over they are totally surprised at the difference in that picture.

I'd like to hear more about the difference in picture quality. You are the first person I've found with both FiOS and Bright House in the same home. How noticeable is the difference? Could it be that you’re watching on different type TV sets?

Thanks - we should be deploying fiber in parts of Zephyrhills this year - hard to pin a specific date on when the TV portion will be ready, though...stay tuned (forgive the pun)!

Bob, I live in Seminole, and I see some reports that central Pinellas will be first to benefit from FIOS in Pinellas. I am sure others are interested about their areas as well...Is there a current coverage map with estimated completions of areas per 3-6 months? Doesn't sound like it would be that difficult, but that doesn' mean that Verizon is willing to share that info....

So how about Seminole?
Largo?
St. Petersburg?

Thank you for your interest in FiOS - it is great! We are currently active in northern Pinellas County. Not sure when we will expand to other areas, but I'm certain you'll know when we do.

That is good to hear. We are located in a neighborhood called Oak Creek which is in Wesley Chapel and we have FIOS but the FIOS TV isn't available. I'm guessing because we are so close to the Zephyrhills WC and that is the one we are hooked up to. Please get that one hooked up and ready for TV so we can switch our final service over!!

I am in a new office building in Oldsmar. They ran the conduit when the buildings were built, along with recently running it (and possibly the fiber too, not sure though) in the townhome complex next door to us. When do you forsee the service being available here? The day it's available here we're switching from Brighthouse. I have it at my house in Tampa and love it!

The home directly across the street on N Rome Ave in Tampa Fl has had fios for 5 months. I had the installer look in the box (20 ft from my front door) and told me it is there you can have it now. Verizon has me as not available online and customer service will do nothing. How can that be?

Hello, I am so totally disgusted with Verizon at the moment. Long story to short; over a year ago I watched the orange pipe type things being installed on my road (in front of my house across a two lane road) and I watched them pull the fiber through it--I spoke to the 'boss' who said it should be available in two months. Well, like I said, that was over a yr ago--and so far I've been told it's not available, hmm, the little pipe with the orange cap on it, the double look door in the ground, it's all FIOS but I am told it's not here! Pluse any phone men I talk to say it has to be on this side of the street! What is going on with Verizon--I've had DSL for just under 1 mo and it's like the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead, when it's good, it's very very good but when it's bad it's horrid! That seems to be about 10 days out of this one month so far--please please, get it straightened out! I DO want FIOS but had to finally settle for dsl (again, canceled it the first time I had it cause of rudeness on tech supports part). I do NOT want DISH tv, so please get this finally leg working!

I, too, wish they would hurry up and get this in the Seminole area. I would switch in a heartbeat from Brighthouse. I pay a ton of money for a mediocre service with Brighthouse... GET TO SEMINOLE - PLEASE!!!
