MJ had this coming for years. With nothing else worth listening to in the morning, he was the default #1 show in Tampa Bay. Now that Bubba's back, MJ will never even come close to enjoying the volume of listeners he and 93.3 had. MJ needs to get used to the idea of being somewhere between #2-5 here from now on.
As for the lawsuit, MJ can sue for whatever he wants. There is no jury that will award anything to him here in Tampa Bay. They may want to move the venue to Nebraska or something.

Bubba the love sponge show is the worse morning talk show I have ever heard. That's why he has nothing better to do than make fun of other DJ's. He's not worth getting upset over.

Bubba coming back is the best thing that ever happened to local radio in the Tampa region. More competition always causes dj's to up their game. This translates to more options for the listeners. Based on the ratings, Bubba has assumed his #1 spot once again and I doubt MJ will even be able to hold a 2-3 spot with the BTLS crew back in the local market. Clear channel made a big mistake selling him out to congress. Good luck with the frivilous lawsuit MJ, once your channel drops your show, you'll have a lot of time to focus on it. Bababuie...

I used to listen to MJ, now I find myself listening to Bubba. When he was in the Tampa Market before, I never really cared for him. I started listening because I just wanted a change.

There are things about both shows I like. But I will say that Bubba does seem to have a 'real' feeling to his broadcasts. He speaks his mind like most people do to thier friends. It makes it a bit easier to listen to. His crew is great with thier bits, and let's face it... it was a needed change.

I have decided anyone uses the word douchebag is a douchebag. That word is so Spring of 2008. it's summer and the new retro word from this is chump.

As far as these two guys I am over both of them especially MJ. He is milking the whole Hulk Hogan/Nick Bollea issue just to be an ass and some of his tactics are just down right disgusting.

I don't waste my life with either one of these boneheads. I have honestly never listened to either show but know of them from other venues, and they are both disgusting human beings. I have tried to get an interview at WFLA-970 for about 3 years, and every time I have to preface it with a willingness to put into writing my promise to always great restraint against my best first instincts to punch both of those frog-faced morons in the nose if they get within 5 feet of me. And as I always tell Gabe Hobbs and R.C. Bauer over there, I really would be a lot better than the "talent" they have on air there now. Someone said it's all a big stage for ratings, and I couldn't agree more. I hope they sue each other penniless, and make every lawyer involved exceedingly rich. The real "winner" of the battle between these two losers is really me, because I refuse to listen to either of them. As a matter of fact, at a recent annual Radio convention, one of the IT guys who appeared to sell the station to the public told a crowd that one of the best things about working there is rubbing elbows with Todd Scnitt (MJ)... and I told him and everyone in the crowd that if he really believes that, then obviously Yolanda at HR doesn't require employees pass drug tests before working there. The station does have some greats ... such as the late Don Richards, and no one in this seaboard gets close to touching the level of Jack Harris. But MJ? Bubba? Oh, I'd sure like them to just get pink slips. That would make us all winners. It still perplexes me why WFLA paid MILLIONS to buy out Hannity's live slot 3-6 at 1040 and then play that show (and part of Levin's) time late. Would make far more sense to have Hannity and Levin on live, instead of trying to use this "Flagship" to sell a "network" deal on Boortz' Jones Radio that really is going absolutely nowhere. With the Clearchannel sale I hear things are tough over there at 970-WFLA ... fine. Bring me on as manager for a week and I'll trim costs and put the place back together. Won't do it with MJ - that's for sure.

I really don't know what all the BS and uproar is about can't stand either of them - never like bubba on the radio he was the main cause for me switching to country in the first place and now you all think he is a great DJ, why don't you listen to a real DJ and listen to other stations from across the USA and see how bad these two are.
