Legacy Farms Kennels owned by Katie & Josh Ritter of Winfield MO, is a puppy mill. They breed tons of different dogs and refuse to answer specific questions about how many breeding dogs that they have on their premises. They have a dog that just had a litter of puppies, and she is now pregnant again. Please help stop the puppy mills by NOT buying pups from these places. You are only feeding the money right back to their breeding programs. It is a never ending cycle. The dogs that are bred, do not get the proper care, they are not pets but only breeding machines. These dogs deserve better. Please do not believe what "puppy millers" say, and do not fall for how "cute" their puppies are. All puppies are cute. If you saw where they came from, you really would think twice. There are plenty of dogs/puppies out there that need to be rescued from shelters, etc. You will feel SO much better about yourself AND your pup if you know that you saved them from a kill shelter. Saving a life.
If you find a breeder that breeds more than 2 different types of dogs, then you are most likely dealing with a puppy mill. Please do your research before falling head over heels in love with a pup. And please, PLEASE do not feed money back into these kennels who are ONLY doing it to make money. They have no interest in perfecting the breed, etc. It is strictly money, money, money.

I fully agree that puppy mills are bad and need cleaned-up. But I disagree with one thing. The comment about perfecting the breed. That seems to devalue the significance of a non-standard pup. I own a non-standard pup- that may or may not have been a puppy mill pup. Either way, she is a sweet- loving, and lovable dog. Just becasue she doesn't meet the ideal look of what some snobbish group claims is 'perfect', doen't mean she is less of a dog.

I am against puppy mills BUT the problem is that there are a lot of people who go overboard and they think that NO ONE should breed dogs, I am not like that! I think that pure bred dogs are GREAT and I just think that dogs that are being bred should be fed well and have great housing. They are animals not people, AND I EAT BEEF TOO. If you are a meat eater you should NEVER open your mouth against people breeding dogs! And you complain about them, then you should NEVER own a pure bred dog yourself.

I purchased a puppy from Legacy Farms. I feel like I rescued him. He is very loving but he has anxiety issues. He is afraid of everything! A friend of mine purchased a goldendoodle last year and she is the same way as my cockapoo, afraid of everything. I don't know if it was the plane ride or just things in general at the kennel.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aries

Someone wants to go their own way today and they won't care whose feathers they ruffle in the process. It's a lunar eclipse at the Full Moon in Cancer, so let them get on with it. The last thing you should do now is to hang on to their coat-tails or do anything else that will make them feel restricted. Make it plain that you've got your own fish to fry, thank you very much. And try not to let it stop you enjoying yourself. Have a great night!
