Spring Hill father accused of punching, injuring baby boy

What happens to the baby now? Does this poor baby have brain damage? I dont understand how someone can do that!! I have had sevearal colicky children and never once tried to hurt them, when they cried non stop. I hope that the baby gets taken care of.

I don't think it looks good for the child. The whole thing makes me sick.

I saw a girl today pushing a stroller didn't look more than 17.

They get resentful of having a child because they didn't plan on one.

This was a 23 yr old yr guy, who was inmature and should have anger management classes, this poor child is now hurt and will suffer possibly for the rest of his life with injuries that this clown did.
Yes, hearing a child cry non-stop can drive you bonkers, but there are ways to relieve the crying, not throwing a child down.....very sorry for this poor baby.

the young girl pushing the stroller is smiling. food stamps, free rent, free medical for the kid, utiliies paid for, etc. Doesnt have to sit home and listen to mommy bitch and moan. Probably comes from a "single mom" (what the hell is that anyway) family.

I don't believe he went from loving father to maninac in one incident. There must have been other times where his temper flared.

I agree ABCD she is getting assitance, my husband made the comment "she looks awfully young", maybe she was an older sister...but somehow I doubt it.

See, thats the problem with newspapers. Story breaks, half the facts are known, but they will print what is known and you never hear about the other half of the story.

Do a quick Google search for "child beaten" and see how many different places come up in the news recently and in the not so distant past on the subject. There are thousands. Seems some people only perk up when it shows up in THEIR newspaper and consider it a problem. The problem has existed for a long time, but nobody is paying much attention. Do you know who Nixzmary Brown was? I have been a propontent of stronger/more stringent child abuse laws in Florida for years.

Who is going to pay for the incareration of the animal?
This "process" is draining the government. Multiply this situation by the thousands of like situation and its ever increasing frequency and look at the bottom line. Its costing YOU and ME. Shoot the perp, put the baby up for adoption and get on with it.

abcd, I think that the tax payers pay the expenses. Have you heard of the saying "Those that pay 20 percent get 80 percent of the benefits and those that pay 80 get 20 percent." Its only going to get worse with what congress wants to do next. I think our country is heading in the wrong direction when you try and take GOD out of everything. People have no remorse for anything they do because they think they are not accountable. I bet that baby gets put into Foster Care and then the Government pays the Foster Family a few hundred a month to take care of this poor innocent little being. I just hope that the baby can live a good life. There are good people in this world that help children like tha. I hope this baby finds that someone real soon. It kinda makes me want to cuddle the little guy.

Yes, the 80/20 20/80 situtation sounds like the story. I do feel badly for the kid, its going to be rough going in the future.

I am not sure which way our country is heading. I mean there havent been any constitutional amendments thought up which would limit the rights of the people, like major gun control legislation, immigration or health care. We wont see a "as promised" health care plan. It will benefit the poor and be paid for by the middle class.

I see a kinder more peaceful USA in the works though. For too many years this country settled everything by military might.
That is not and has not been the best way to go.

That's what I mean, this child is going to cost taxpayers for the next 18 years plus. So will the father. Thanks to some little slut who was looking for federal/state/local government support and the coveted title of "single mom" it will drain, not benefit society as a whole.

No follow up on the child's condition so I fear it is not good. The one in Brooksville a few weeks ago had abused the child( which wasn't his) back in March. That child died.

They lived with his mother(the one in Brooksville) yet no one thought to keep him from that child.

The mother should have been charged.

Now this guy. If he is 23 someone parents have to be around. Her parents or his parents, they had to have seen his short temper.

No reasonable person just decides one day to do this.

JMO, he didn't plan on being a father at 23 and resented the child.

I feel the same way Ellie, I want to give that baby a hug, I don't think this is going to turn out well. 3 months is so little.

He's being charged with felony attempted murder, soooo with a good lawyer he can plea diminished mental capacity, and again with a good lawyer, could get probation/counciling/no contact etc.

The mother as Joanne said, should have been brought in for questioning, if she knew that the child was in danger, she had a responsiblity to make sure he came to no harm, if she knew he had s short fuse, then she should not have left him alone with the child, she put her child in harms way.

I remember years ago, little boy named Bradley he soiled his pants and he got dunked into the toilet bowl several times, hitting his little head, he died.....that story had a huge impact on me, that people could take a innocent child and do that, to me they are animals and should be treated as such.

I disagree with the last part of your posting. These girls know exactly what they are doing. Its called "securing benefits".
Without having the kid they are on their own. No income, no housing, nothing. With the kid(s) they have all they need.
They just scream "But my baby!" and the arms of government open wide to pay. Its a form of security.

Poor Bradley. I cant believe how people can be. I think part of the problem is our Government is getting to involved in our lives. If the general mindset is single mom and baby equals money then more people will continue this way of life. They have it made. Its sad that our money contributes to their lifestyle. You know what gets me, when children in school can get reduced lunch while we cant because we make too much. Again the government is enabling these people to leech off the taxpayers. Everyone should pay the same. Enough of me babbling. Does anyone have any reports on baby? I have a friend who wants to adopt.

Ellie most elementary schools in HC have 90% rate for free or reduced rates, because most people in the county with children don't make $35,000 or $40,000. If someone is making ends barely meet then at least the kids get free/reduced lunches, its better than nothing. Free breakfast if you can get to school early enough. If you hit on hard times wouldn't you want your kids to be able to have a decent lunch, of course you would, this could be the only meal of the day where they get to eat fruit/protein/veggies/milk/coo kie or whatever else they provide.

I hit hard times had a child with lots of medical conditions that were beyond my control. Needed costly formula 1200 a month but we were able to make ends meet by the Grace of GOD. Of course I would want my kids to eat a good lunch. I still had to pay the going rate on lunch price. What I am saying it should be equal across the board. Just because you make more than other people should your taxes go to bail everyone else out? I cant believe we managed but we did not get help from the government!!! We were responsible with the money we had. I could of gone after the programs the Government had in store for NICU babies but I did not. We were able to cloth her feed her and love her. Now in the county I live ourtaxes r increasing due to the fact so many properties have gone into foreclosure. This insanity of taxing the upper :middle class: has got to stop. At this rate we will need extra money just to pay all the extra taxes that are being pushed. We still have to take care of all our medical expenses. People just judge you on your income not situation!

The liberals of this U.S.A. are the ones who came up with these wild ideas. It didnt take long for the citizens to figure it out. Pop out a couple of kids and jump on the gravy train. There are people out there getting social security disability because they "cant function in society". There are thousands and thousands of kids getting social security supplemental income checks because their mothers say they are "slow" or just not playing with a fulld deck. These checks can start very young and can continue for the childs lifetime.

The couple with the baby who was starved to death in Tampa just a few days (black couple had 5 kids between them) they were getting their rent paid, food stamps,WIC.

There was a SS check for the baby for $600 something dollars uncashed.

I was amazed. It was an awful story, but a $600 check for one child????

And that check was for one just child.

See what I mean? Gravy train. Get married and the train stops running.$600 a month, x 12 months =$7,200.00 x 18 years =$129,600.00. PER CHILD. How many have 3, 4, 5? Multiply the 129,600 times 3, 4 or 5 and you get some big numbers where the government is supporting people because the LAW says so.
