If you read the article, there are some interesting things to absorb. First the article states that the cars will run 25 - 30 miles on a Full Charge. The city will charge $1/hr to charge. It takes 10 hours to fully charge he car. So that is equal to $.33/mile or a gasoline vehicle getting 15 MPG. It also says that "on longer trips" they will take a traditional fossil fuel vehicle. So what are we saving? Especially for the $40,000 price tag. Not to mention the $2,500 battery depreciation per year.

We are not saving anything anything, most of the car is built in China and dumped here, the taxpayers shell out $200,000.00 for everyone sold, 60 is top speed on level ground and only go 30 miles on a full charge in "ideal" conditions, only has a 9 gallon fuel tank, never should have been built.
