Clearly some of you don't know...so for your information, he was a great artist who made art that spoke to/touched/influenced the people who found it,... and he always treated fans like friends. He will be missed and remembered by MANY. And anyway, why would you be making a big deal about someone you never even heard of? A lot of other people have. Just because the music isn't mainstream doesn't mean it didn't have an impact.

yo "Schnizzle Fizzle"- just because you hadn't heard of him until his death doesn't make him small time. You are only discrediting yourself by making such statement after admitting you hadn't heard of him before. He did in fact leave a legacy. Eyedea has been making waves in the underground hiphop scene since the mid-late 90's. He had a tremedous artistic mind and will be sorely missed. That said, I figured it was drugs the second I heard the news. His heavy psychological/philosophical lyricism might as well have been branded as drug inspired. Sadly a genre of music dominated by filth and ignorence has lost one of the few who elevated HipHop to status art.

Hmm,a legacy...I'm sure we will all get to pay for that. Artistic = others paying something. Hope his fam does well.

wow...what a shocker...a 20-something rock star dies...of an overdose of something.
too bad soo sad. I guess his life of music, family and friends didnt mean as much to him as y'all profess he meant to you.
now...who was he again???
Its funny how some of you "followers" of this crap wait on pins and needles wondering what could have befeld such a young..eehhh...artist.
Hendrix, Morrison, Cobain, Presley, etc, etc...the list just gets bigger. The only difference is that these 4 musicians were actually talented enough for those outside MPLS/St. Paul to have heard of 'em.
Anyways, since no one really "deserves" to die unless one is on death row, thoughts go out to the family.
You are such a fuckin lethargic devil obviously u dont understand adddiction at all this was someone who struggled with addiction cuz he was so smart he used drugs to dumb himself down to relate retards like you i can say i live in the mountains of cali in a small hick town and eyedea is huge out here so shut ur mouth i dont think that anyone values negetivity and it will get u no were so just a suggestion do something to make a diffence.By the way i relate to his shit as a child with a high IQ every one is always takin cheap shots at you it makes it difficult not to numb and dumb down for society w/ drugs and just to feel normal.

Leo

If you're trying to make your money stretch as far as possible, this is a good day to discuss ideas with someone who's financially minded, and can give you some useful input. It will also be helpful to bounce your ideas off them and use them as a sounding block. If you've been hoping to turn a colleague into a lover, work your magic on them now.
