More idiocracy, why give the criminals the waterfront property. Come on now we can do better than that!

It makes sense. St Mary needs the jobs. Sure it is not the plan they wanted but they could not pull it off.

ab·surd (ab-sūrd,-zūrd)
adj.
1. Ridiculously incongruous or unreasonable.

See Synonyms at foolish.

2. Of, relating to, or manifesting the view that there is no order or value in human life or in the universe.

3. Of or relating to absurdism or the absurd. n.

The condition or state in which humans exist in a meaningless, irrational universe wherein people's lives have no purpose or meaning.

Clearly this is the case we are dealing with here, a case of ABSURDITY.

You do have a point there, but maybe they'll swim to Fl.

Actually the County Adminstrator and the Sheriff have proposed a similar option. There is a parcel of land right down from Osprey Cove on the other side of the road owned by the Casey family. The family has informally agreed to donate a portion so that the jail could move south. This could be a golden oppurtunity for the citizens of St Marys because a 500 bed jail would provide nearly 120 new jobs. The public works department has already studied the sewer and water capacity and it could work. Kingsland has also agreed to supplement some of the cost because it would save a lot of money by having the officers make a shorter drive. I think the main goal is to get it out of Woodbine, where it is not wanted, and back where it belongs, in St Marys. Lets hope this prposal goes through.

Then the have to transport from the southmost to woodbine to see the judge. Hope they give the Sheriff some cars and corrections officers.

New Mayor in town lives in Osprey Cove, don't see the OC letting a jail move in across the way. Come on not that is the gateway to St. Marys. We can't litter it up with rubbish.

With Glynn County having the same jail issues we are, Glynn and Camden should team up and plan a facility for the next 100 years on 100 acres or so on the north end.

If done properly, this would save money for the taxpayers in both counties.

We can't build a jail. We have many more signs to put up and sprinkler systems to install. Besides, believe it or not, there are some blocks in town without a fire station. Thoses are more important!

move it to the old 911 center, then when they escape we can look for them at wal-mart.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
