He is my doc. Such a soft-spoken mild man cannot have killed anyone....
Well, Jamie was my cousin, was also soft-spoken and mild-mannered, and this little freak of a doctor killed him. |

I'm sorry for the loss of this young man's family. However, I've known Dr. Chua for several years and I believe him to be innocent, I believe he was trying to help this young man with his career. I remember when he hired him and he was so happy to have someone to mentor. I wholeheartedly believe in Dr. Chua's innocence. |

DR. CHUA IS INNOCENT, JAMIE WAS A DRUG ADDICT WHO USED DR. CHUA'S KINDNESS AGAINST HIM,ITS A HORRIBLE SHAME THAT SUCH A GOOD MAN LIKE DR.CHUA HAS TO PAY THE PRICE FOR THIS BOYS BAD CHOICES.I WILL BE STANDING IN LINE AS A PATIENT OF DR.CHUA'S WHEN HE IS FOUND INNOCENT.

when a "full-grown" person knows that something is not/won't be good for him, then no amount of cajoling, persuading, urging, forcing by another can influence the choices he makes. when someone spills hot coffee on himself, that is negligence (the consumer's, not the seller's). then there are those who can always choose to quit smoking but blame the manufacturer when they develop lung cancer. goodness gracious.... aren't people supposed to take responsibility for the choices they make?

I have known Dr. Chua for several years and there is no way that he is capable of what they have accused him of. He is a kind and caring, faith-filled man who has dedicated his life to helping people. He is a wonderful doctor who on numerous occasions has diagnosed medical problems that other doctors have misdiagnosed. He saved my husband's life and my own. It is outrageous that he is being held responsible for the actions of someone else. He will be found innocent and when he is back in his practice, I will be back as his patient. God Bless you and keep you Dr. Chua. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I, too, have known Dr. Chua for several years, having worked at SGHS Camden campus with him. However, I also knew this boy. Jamie was a young, naive boy who thought that Dr. Chua was the most brilliant doctor ever. He wanted to learn from him.
One year ago, Dr. Chua sought Jamie out to mentor him... not vice versa. Jamie was a new patient that was only looking for answers to his medical problems... he was not looking for narcotics, let alone an arsenal of drugs, as he was prescribed. Jamie trusted Dr. Chua and, just like all of Dr. Chua's other patients, felt that Dr. Chua knew what was best and what was safe for him to take. Jamie did NOT commit suicide. He was merely taking the medications ordered for him by his physician. To Chua's supporters, things are not always as they seem. I agree, Dr. Chua has been a great doctor for many of his patients. However, for Jamie, he was LETHAL. Dr. Chua had an agenda of his own, and that will come out in trial. Until then, and forever more, the family and friends of James B. Carter, III (Jamie) will suffer the loss of a sweet, kind young man whose life was cut all too short by this doctor... and for that, he must pay his dues. |

Jamie was a sincerely sweet boy. You can be proud to call him family. I am proud to say he was a friend.

WEll, to all you Dr. Chau suppoters. Things are not as they seem. You don't know what the family has been through and it is hurtful to make claims that you have no business posting about. The family trusted Dr. Chau with their family member. Jamie did have some issues, but the Dr., who was suppose to be a mentor and someone to look up to, did things that a doctor is not allowed to do. So legal action is taking place now. Everyone knows that not all people are as they seem. The nicest man in the world can turn out to be a serial killer without anyone knowing so. So, to you Dr. Chau supporters, how about think before you speak. Jamie Carter has family that cares deeply about him and misses and thinks about him everyday. They do not deserve to read these things about there son, nephew, brother, grandson, and friend. Everyone gets what they deserve.
In Loving Memory of JBC#23 Missing you everyday Wish you could be here with us To be near us To hug us To Kiss us We Love YOU So Much Jamie Carter |

How can an experienced medical doctor be "fooled" into giving a kid drugs? Open your eyes Chua supporters.
I'm happy for you and your husband but that does not absolve Chua for his responsibility in Jamie's death. |
How dare you call Jamie a drug addict!!! Look at who you are trying to support. Someone who was suppose to be a role model and a friend to Jamie. When the trial comes, listen a pay attention to what you hear and see if you change your mind then about Dr. Noel Chau. JBC#23 Forever |

New article in today's Tribune & Georgian regarding the case. It now states the truth, that the Medical Review Board has NOT cleared Dr. Chua. They are to make a decision soon regarding the fate of his medical license. The article can be viewed at:

Jamie's family-I feel for you dealing with your loss, but blaming Dr. Chua isnt the answer either..Dr.Chua didnt make him take to many pills,he was free thinking adult. Dr. Chua is a wonderful Dr. and man,he has done some terrific things to help people, he doesnt deserve to have his life destroyed because Jamie could'nt follow direction on a pill bottle

Prescriptions each have their own instructions. When you have 10-20 different pain medications and you take them all "as prescribed," it can be lethal. Additionally, 18 years old is barely an adult. Many young people (and old alike) are ignorant to how medications work and their potential side effects. Jamie relied on Dr. Chua to ensure that his medications were safe. Dr. Chua failed him miserably on this. Granted, I am sure he did not intend for Jamie to die. However, his criminal negligence caused Jamie's death. |

Her son died from taking metadone and anti depresants perscribed by a dr..Is this Dr guilty of murder and over perscribing??? Or just Dr. Chua...What responsiblity did Jamie have in this...He lived in Dr. Chua's home he could have asked Are you sure this is right???Jamie worked in Dr. Chua's office at some point couldnt he have questioned the amount of medacations..
Well, Jamie is dead. So, I suppose we will never know if he questioned this. It is easy to condemn those that are not here to defend themselves, isn't it. With regards to Anna Nicole Smith's son, if Lexapro, Zoloft and Methadone area a deadly mixture, then YES, his doctor is too responsible. Note, however, that methadone is a synthetic narcotic used to suppress the withdrawl symptoms from certain narcotics. Lexapro and Zoloft are antidepressants, not narcotics. HOWEVER, Percocet, Oxycontin, Hydrocodone, Morphine, Fentanyl, Butorphanol, Demerol, Clonazepam, etc. are ALL narcotics and should NEVER all be prescribed to the same patient within such a short period of time. |
could Jamie have stolen the perscriptions from Dr. Chua??He did have access..
