Camden Commissioners Question Sheriff's Spending

No the Sheriff is right. That money belongs to the agency that seized it and there are FEDERAL guidelines that mandate what it can be spent on and what it can not be spent on. The city can not spend that money, it can not go for normally budgeted items, and there are tight rules for its use. The folks need to research before they go demanding anything.

I don't care who you are. You cannot just spend money as you see fit. I don't care if you are an agency. There needs to be some accountability here! The tight rules ain't to tight!

Camden County should have put Bill Smith out of commission a long time ago. In my running days, I seen exactly how he spent money. And Women was one of those ways. Even his deputy's were corrupt. I will never put the word "Sheriff" in from of Smith. He is NOT an example for anyone.
Any money that has to do with the county should be explainable. You should have well kept books and someone "OTHER THAN" Bill Smith keeping those books. I moved away from that county when I found out how corrupt they are. I can not believe that this man has made it this long. He gives nothing back to the people. Inmates going to his house to clean and wash his vehicle. People taking thier cars to the jail to be cleaned. I was given that chance, I know. He should be held accountable for the money seized off the interstate. As much as they run that part of 95, Camden should have some of the finest schools in the world!
Make him accountable for his actions. FINALLY!!!

But unless you live there, and your not one of his people, you can see what goes on. The majority of this county is as corrupt as he is, therefore, he always gets back in. He should NOT be allowed to just use that money for his personal gain. And I can guarantee that he is. He has never been honest.
Anyone that thinks he can just use that seized money any way he sees fit, is obviously corrupt, as well.

The Sheriff donated $250,000 to the Citadel in SOUTH CAROLINA.....how the heck does that benefit CAMDEN COUNTY GEORGIA??????

And if Bill Smith had nothing to hide, why won't he show the County Commissioners records of what he has spent this money on???

For the life of me, I can't understand why the folks here keep putting him in office. It is time for a change.

Better see if he has family in the Citadel, you do some digging and you will probably find that.
As for the spending, Hell, look at the 4 wheel drive he drives and look at property holdings. Theres your money Camden County!!!!

Someone else commented that Bill and his wifes checking accounts are frozen. WIFE??? Omg, he deserves no wife. He has not respect for women at all. Two of my old friends were two women he was messing with, on the side! Ohhhh the stories I could tell..........
