How come the Police Jury meetings are not being shown on Ch. 20 and all we're seeing is elementary school awards and bikers and old church services and older movies?? Don't want the public to see how embarrassing those meetings are??

Straight Talk you got that right, well half of it. RBS has applied for a grant. If the issuers were to see how the police jury operates they would try and distance themselves as much as possible. Say good bye grant.
Can you image what the police jury would do with $22 million? It won't be for used on the roads. Probably save it for trips to Las Vegas and Hawii.

And lunches at Ruth's Chris Steak House. Could somebody please start showing some of those outrageous credit card charges? The taxpaying public has a right to know, and we shouldn't ALL have to go down there to the PJ office and pay to see public records. Maybe our local newspaper could print some??? Yeah, right.

Our local newspaper...I didn't know we had one. I'm sure you're not talking about The Democrap.

They are still being shown. Not only on TV but also on the website ( rbs100.com ). They are aired 2 to 3 times per day for the first 3 weeks then once per day for the last week. Times vary depending on the length of ALL of the public meeting that we air. Your assessment of our programing is a personal perception, which you are entitled to, whether correct or not. As far as your comment alluding to RBS not wanting the public to see parts of the meeting, again, your personal perception is incorrect. We play the meeting in their entirety and the behavior of ALL participants is not what we use to decide play frequency no matter the level of "embarrassing behavior. You may not care about the school awards but parents and kids do. You may not care about bike races,(they are referred to as cyclists, not bikers) but the Cyclists do. You may not care for religion but some of the churches want to get their word to their congregation. If you don't like the movies, Netflix has a large assortment of DVDs and movies on demand. RBS tries to show events in the area so that anyone that wants to, can see them. If people are unable to attend a meeting, they can catch in on TV or go to our website though that can be a challenge if you do not have a broadband internet connection. Hope this helps to clear up your above statements.

When will the June PJ meeting be available online?
