Hi all, I may be applying for a job at the Walgreens Call center sometime in the near future. Does any of you work there? I was wanting to get some idea of the environment, and what kind of place it is to work.

Thanks for any information!:)

I worked there for 2 years. The job itself is not hard at all. But the supervisors and human resource department suck!! They always change rules without telling the employees. Then the employees would get punished for not knowing about the changes. Only apply for the call center if its your LAST resort.

Sounds a lot like how W.I.T in the industrial park in Florence. They have a staggering turnover I hear so they're probably hiring. But if you can handle the B.S it's an okay short term phone gig.

What a wonderful company to work for! I couldnt have asked for any better. Just be professional and show you care about your job. Take instruction and follow directions and you'll do just fine.

Hello,I would love to work at the Walgreen's call center. I have a strong background in customer service but I haven't seen any listings of openings lately. If anyone happens to work there, do you know of any openings? I recently moved back here from Florida after ten years, I would be grateful for any information or help.
Thank you.....

I worked here for a year, and it was the worse job I have ever had. I would choose to work in a 100 degree plant than this place. The supervisor's and human resource's treat you awful. I am so happy that I was able to get out of this place. When you feel that you need to be awarded for something that you have done good at, don't expect to be at this place. They have a very high turnover. My suggestion is if you can find something else, I would.

Thanks for your help. I have been away from the area for a long time. What is WIT? Thanks again for taking the time to answer. I really need a job.

Wannawork...most of what is written above is correct. The majority of the employees I worked with are a bunch of crybaby, backstabbing, worthless, no reason for living morons. The supervisors are the same and do not know their right hands from their left. All the supervisors at the Muscle Shoals Call Center, to sum up, are worthless trash. As you read, the HR Dept. is just as incompetent and worthless.
I worked there five years and just before my anniversary, was terminated for an idiotic reason. If you apply and get hired, watch out. There will be an automatic bullseye on you!

Thanks for painting a picture. Sounds similar to another place I worked for several years; a Chamber of Commerce. I've been out of state for a decade and I realize there aren't many places to work. One of my bestfriends said it best when she said, "I don't need to be friends or even be liked when I work, that's not what they pay me for..." great attitude if it only worked that way. Just curious, Are they really filming "The Office" locally @ Walgreen's??lol Sorry you were let go, but it happens to the best of us at least once in our life and its devastating, especially when you know it had nothing to do with what they say they terminated you for. It happened to me in 1999, the company fired me the same week the owed me a large commission. Well, I'm telling way more than I should. I know you will find a better gig. I just need something that pays pretty well for even a part time gig. If you run across something keep me in mind. Thanks. And sorry for what happened to you, I'm sure life has something better for you.

Go to W.I.T in the industrial park next to the casket factory I think and apply. They are hiring all the time I've been told by a relative that worked there a while back. But be warned, the reason for the high turnover is due to some crazy older lady office supervisor that hates other women. Several people I work with hung out with some of the girls from there. The other people are great but the woman they let run things has never been telemarketer or hr and she acts jealous of every man there. The one that was still there said she won't hire anybody female that is pretty or if someone does somehow get on she either makes up stuff to get them in trouble and tells on people all day or harasses the girls till they quit & one of them cussed her out over it & left. I don't remember what they said her name was but they said she has orangy blond 80's hair. They were funny probably b fun to work with if they got rid of the company nut!!lol

I just went for an interview today at a staffing place and they set me up for a job interview with the Walgreens call center. The only information I know about the job is trying to convince Walgreens diabetic customers to switch to their medicine. Is this what everyone else's job entitled?
