Should I let my white daughter date a black boy ?

I would like to know the consensus of other parents.Please post poros and cons.What you would do.Thank You

color doesnt matter. its the culture. if the boy has the pants off his ass, hat sideways, says things that rhyme with izzle alot, dont let your daughter date him. Dont worry about being politically correct. do what i do and any boy your daughter starts "dating", invite him over for dinner and see how he is. if he is a punk, tell him to hit the road

Another way to show IGNORANCE is to misspell the word "sure," to end sentences with a question mark when you are not asking a question, and to not know that, in this case, "todays" should have an apostrophe.

Little typos are one thing, but when somebody has no clue as to grammar, spelling, etc. then they should either hire someone to proof read or just not post.

My concern is that you refer to him as a "black boy". To me it shows you are concerned with his complexion rather than his morals and values. Give the "young man" a chance and then go from there. Maybe if you look at him as a young man it will give you a better outlook as to who he is and not what color he is.

I am so shocked at this question, but even more shocked by some of the answers on here. I didn't realize we still had so many ignorant people in the world, much less here in my own community. Why would you ever consider the color of ones skin before you considered who he is, and his character? That's amazing!

Actually, JIM BOB... lol! I have never been in a welfare office, prison or the slums but obviously you have spent a LOT of time there! So how does that make you any better? And YES, our president is BLACK, and the house he lives in is white. So what, the house isn't running our country the BLACK President is. Actually you do see questions like that in black magazines all the time. And having doubts about who your children date based on race, culture, religion, education, etc are valid concerns. Believe it or not, our culture is not colorblind. That is true for every ethnicity/culture/whatever, not only for whites. And if you have concerns when it comes to your children, don't let political correctness get in your way. If you have reservations, then let them be heard. But if the person has good character, no matter what his skin color, religion, etc, then don't be a schmuck and give him a chance.

I I have less trust for that type of person, just because of pat history, statistic, and personal experiance. Sorry but I see what I see, and I have experianced what I say. Until a black person respects themselves, and others they are truly just visitor in this great country. Granted there are a lot of white trash that I share the same feelings for.

The Negro / Black /African American race has been a failure since the days that their own sold them off as slaves.Never has there been such a failed society.For close to 150 years of freedom they have yet learned how to master social responsibility.I realize this does not cover all of the race just 95% of them.Take the Irish,Italians,Poles I can go on and on that have succeded in this great land. It only took them a few years to become benefitual contributing members of this great country.The black race has there own agenda and it has failed miserably.It isnt the one person that your daughter may want to date along with it is his family ,his beliefs,his ethics. Truth is black women hate the fact that black men are dating ,marrying white women.There is a lot more to this than just dating.My vote is NO stay with your own.Life will be a lot easier less problems and not co-mingling such diverse cultures.Many blacks feel the same about mixed relationships so dont call the racial card please.
