Sick of Taxes wrote: I'm sick and tired of these half-wit politicians dreaming up one project after another to suck more money out of us. If it ain't toll roads, it's red light cameras, or higher cigarette and liquor taxes, and even cola taxes. And, what do we get for our money? More crime, terrible roads, lousy schools. Until we stand up and throw the bastards out of office we're stuck with this crap! From this moment on, I'm not voting for a single imcumbent. i agree with you about not voting for incumbents. only way to initiate change is to get out with the old and in with the new.

You do realize that there will be 2 free lanes in each direction and one toll lane in each direction right? ALso, this project will re-do that entire stretch of highway, even the free lanes. Anyone that doesnt want to use the toll roads, wont have to pay a dime.

Finally, I won't have to wait behind that damn guy in the mail truck going over TransMountain every morning from the Northeast. He goes 40 all the way down the mountain and you can't pass him because its only 2 lanes.

I hope the state plans for several tunnels under the loop in order to cross under on bikes and in vehicles. Lower the congestion and keep it off the loop. Also, allow a utility area in the middle so that utilities can get in the right-of-way, without congesting traffic. A saved area should also be planned now for a 3rd lane in each direction of for mass transit for the future.

The people in El Paso deserve a full freeway with access roads and ramps for this part of town. This is an important link in the commerce of El Paso and other communities. It should be a full freeway first. If another road is needed after a deserving full freeway first. Then let the "Voters," of El Paso decide the issue. Don't force an extra expense on the people without a voice.

Why a freeway on the westside? theres nothing there and besides the westsiders dont even support SunLand Park Mall what will they use this freeway for? They should make Montana st a double deck freeway all the way from Loop 375 to Paisano thats where all the traffic congestion is at in east/central east and far/east El Paso.

El Paso should focus on getting better schools, more affordable housing, and better childcare. Why the heck given all of our really PRESSING problems, would we be so obsessed with building more roads (unless they are to communicate places that at this point still have dirt roads). We have 1-10, we have Transmountain, and I do not really see that they have done anything to help us develop a better quality of life for the people of El Paso. www.dimequecrees.com
