Keep Perkinsville Fire Dept in Perkinsville!

go to a meeting you will then understand. this is not about house fires. it is about our tax dollars being wasted.

Believe it or not...the town of Wayland is not only the village and Perkinsville!!!! Many town residents do not live in either area.

Everything that is talked about in this town is based on either the village or perkinsville (both are what a square mile? The town is 40 sq miles!). the Village has its own govt, but Perkinsville is a hamlet with no actual seperate government...oh wait...the entire town board lives in that part of the the town. Where's the representation for the other parts of the town (Loon Lake, East and North of the Village, East side of Rt 21, etc)?

From what I see, this dispute between the departments is part taxpayer money and part which deparmnt has the resources to cover the calls for the entire town. If Perkinsville Fire really only does 24 calls or even 30 or 40 and Wayland is doing over 500, then my q is why is the town paying Perkinsville so much already?
Shouldn't our elected officials be looking at performance and utilization to form their budget?

So is this all cleared up and Wayland gets to protect the town as they should and call Perkinsville as needed? It's a shame their members are or had to go through this as they are only trying to help out the citizens of their community. All becasue some people who think they can do a job that they cant, are or were standing in their way. I am glad you stood up for and continue stadning up for the people you protect Wayland. Ok Fred G why don't you get your facts out before you run down a department.
1) Perkinsville is a Fire Department and who cares how many calls you guys in Wayland do.
2) Perkinsville bought there own Truck out of money from fund that they mad doing dinners , Penny socials etc. You was told this by alot of people but all you think about is being in charge and bad mouthing department.
3)Every department is to work together and it seems that you don't want to and the you lied to a group of people that are nothing but followers and will do what you want.
SO BEFORE YOU ALL START BAD MOUTHING PERKINSVILLE GET YOU FACTS OUT and grow up!!!
