We've got over 80% of the kids in our school district qualifying for and receiving the free breakfast/lunch program, yet our Legion Post thinks it's better to put a lot of it's $, time and effort into fixing up cemetaries in our area (not just veterans graves either). As nobel as that is, the funds and manpower could actually go towards helping the "living" in our community. I thought that's what the cemetary's commitiees were for? They do do alot of good for the community, for example, they sponsored several kids to go to summer camp--I think that's more along the lines of what they should be doing....It was a poor decision to fix up the cemetaries, gravestones/grave markers....let the families and cemetary commities handle that.

Proud, I understand where you are coming from, but I don't really have a problem with any organization helping to maintain our cemetaries. Each of these organizations work to raise their own funds and I feel the membership of these organizations should have a say as to where the funds go. As long as the funds go to something to improve our communities, I don't have a problem.
As for improving cemetaries, I feel they are links to the past (not just for families, but also veterans and community leaders) and we need to do whatever we can to instill a solid understanding and appreciation of the past in the children of today. Overall, in our area, we are lucky to have so many different organizations that work to improve the overall quality of life. For help with reducing the cost of food, there is Angel Food Ministries and the Rotary and Lions always seem to be willing to help out. |

1 Obama - No need to apologise for truth. The excitement that RC preacherman whose words (power of words) and delivery were right on song. Folks across the nation kept mouthing of a Hillary presidency and then from left field she was hit with an Obama. No wonder there is Big Time angst at what came to pass. Obama - please don't go to Iraq knowing what happened to JFK who had me cringing thinking what might befall him - And it did. Just to go over and the costs associated in doing so - the wearing of a bulletproof helmet and Flak jackets for a photo OP is ridiculous. My fear is that Lieberman's friends will set up a scenario wherein harm can befall our only hope for America's salvation. Gotta purchase that McClellen's book on lies that went down - got sheep bleating their mantra. Brilliant - making us one with our planted occupiers. Neocons got Americkanzis in lock step harmony with ME master race. in der Harmonie mit MIR Vorlagen IRAQ Invasion and Occupation for Zion nell'armonia con ME matrice Scott McClellan finally connected the dots. Had to be careful around ARI (Lieberman's cadre) not to give evidence of - until his book got out - otherwise who knows. |

I'm a Hillary Voter backing McCain. At least we know McCain. If McCain could be a war hero, Obama could get his ass over there. Do you think he is better then any of our proud men and women who are already over there serving our Country.
