area code stupidity

The idea that we have to dial an area code, in this small area, before we can make calls is unbelievably stupid.
Do they think the people in the Eugene area are idiots who won't stand up to something this dumb?
Where did they get the idea that the people who live in this area are mindless sheep who will just follow where their leaders go?
Just look at the huge number of intelligent people who are demanding an end to the stupidity!

GRANTS PASS has the 541 area code, but part of this area doesn't!
It's pathetic that Eugene residents are willing to be forced to dial their area code for local calls.

There are plenty of examples of how the government is pushing, pushing, and that they're trying to get the American people more used to being controlled so they won't fight back when it gets much worse.
It's really pathetic that Eugene area residents are so weak that they don't even fight the ridiculous harassment of having to dial an area code in this small area.
Instead, hundreds of thousands of sheep dial ten digits every single time they want to make a call.
It wastes time, it's irritating, and it's a constant reminder that Eugene area residents are apathetic, and willing to be manipulated.
It's decided at the state level, so contact our state legislators and complain.
