Christopher Boots taken into custody

Leave Boots alone..........he's had enough drama from the police....he's a great guy...you've taken 8 years plus from him...let him TRY to lead a normal life.
What do you expect?

Normal...How normal is it that the police found DRUGS in his home...and his neighbors don't even want him around!!

If he wanted to lead a so called NORMAL life...he would get a job and contribute something GOOD to society instead of contributing to an already BAD meth problem apparent in Lane County!!

Get REAL!

What is your definition of "normal" life??? Maybe this is normal for him. Doing drugs, stealing and committing crimes is a life style some people choose. Seems to me this isn't the only trouble he's been in since he's been out of prison either. I think this is HIS normal life. Some of us would hope for better after being in prison and being given a large settlement to live happily ever after with.

We expect just what NORM posted...Something better...prove you aren't the person they are showing you to be...
Many, Many wrongly convicted people get out and do good with the life they have left...not float in and out of Jail...Did you fail to catch the part where he has been arrested over 12 times!! And that wasn't the FIRST time the SWAT team has visited his residence!

and A million dollars would be a great start to a better life!

Monday is Chris Boots court hearing...lets hope they don't let him off too easy!!

I know I will be watching the news to see what the outcome is!

Easy for you all to sit in judgement...did I mention Chris attended his own fathers funeral in shanks around his ankles. We as a society took away his youth...we made him guilty of an awful crime which he was later aquitted for...and rightfully so.
In and out of jail....well knowing him personally...and being a dear friend of his...I know how he has been tormented by the police...followed...set up...and the list goes on...
I guess you could all do better right.
Perhaps you'd feel different if that was your child.
Why don't you all grow up!

I feel he is just delaying the obvious jail sentence...

I won't even respond to the post by Veneta...It is obvious there is a family connection there...and while yes you should be supportive of your family...you should also NOT enable them to continue on the wrong path!

I agree with you anonymous. Every person should have those people that love them and support them unconditionally but that does not mean enabling them or allowing them to continue playing the role of a victim.

I do have to comment that, I know, the Sheriff's Department did this search warrant. It would be wonderful if the sheriff's office in this community had the manpower and resources to follow, torment, and set up individuals. The sheriff's department I know here is so limited in resources they are unable to respond to many calls because they are busy prioritizing absolute emergencies. They work hard trying to protect our county! They are not trying to find ways to send innocent, undeserving, law-abiding citizens to prison.

Well in response to "anonymous" & "norm" as in "normal"....

Having been a student of law...if you read the case...you would realize that you are both jumping to conclusions which is what got Christopher in jail the first time. People do not take the FACTS ONLY...they interpret things the way they want. If you read the stories and followed up..you would then know that drugs were not found in HIS POSSESSION...he happens to have roomates that live in his LARGE HOME!!! Notice how his name was "associated" with the drugs...found on the premises. Perhaps you should try reading only what is in BLACK & WHITE...and quite filling in the gray area with your own ideas or preconcieved notions....see that is what gets innocent people locked up behind bars.....People assuming...and we know what happens when we "assume" incorrectly..based on preliminary findings...we lock up a kind, loving, giving, man that has a mother...a child..who tries to smile in that town...knowing well that people sit in judgement...just because his name is plastered all over the news...once again humiliating him and putting his name in the dirt....

How well do you think you could recover emotionally from what he went through? Are you willing to give him a fair chance? Would you hire him? You've seen his face on the news...papers...the police and media have destroyed this mans life...you are forgetting the simpler things....quit trying to make him a monster that he is not....So i suppose it is his fault once again right? Do you have concrete evidence that he is using drugs? Or are you assuming that since they found it on the premises it is his? That's an awful lot to assume when you are playing with someones life...I'd rather stick with the fact!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Boots is and always has been a punk.I have know him since grade school.I also knew Ray Oliver and I believe Boots was there at his murder.I hope he gets gassed!

You know JLC...I have heard others say the same thing...and in addition, that if Chris wasn't in prison for the murder charge...he would have been in there for something else...it was probably a blessing in disguise...

I think time has proven that as well...I honestly don't see how it can be said that we sit in judgement...when the proof is right out there for all to see!

I see "veneta" mentioned Chris has a child...how sad for the child...

I say keep his name in the news...perhaps that will force him to be on the straight and narrow?!?

When is the trial date?

This is the most pathetic thing that I've seen in years. I can't belive that people have nothing else better to do with their time, other than slander peoples lives (whom they don't even know), on the internet. Assumptions are definately not facts, opinions rather...
The fact known is that my life has been tramatically devistated by the law enforcement in Lane County for so many years, I've lost track. Luckily, I can count on all of you people who obviously have no life to keep score for me.(Thanks so much for your dedicated assumptions of my alleged wrong doings.) I just want to say one thing; "I hope none of you folks never have to walk in my shoes." -Chris Boots
