I would appreciate any real info from anyone whos been in my position right now. The transmission went out in my van. It is a Ford Winstar 2003. Ive had it 2 years. I am single woman, lower income. Ive borrowed a car from a friend so that I can contin˙e working. They want 1600, right off the bat to fix it. I dont want to get ripped off by a finance co. Anyone, know a reputable place to get a loan or even some place that I could l buy another car?

Heard of one man, name was Winston has/had a place Life Ministries . Never was fortunate enough to meet him but heard every now and then he'd step in and help. If he is still around and does help I only hope you do right by him.

I know this may strange but if you go to Red Lobster and ask for the cook named Pete he is a great Mechanic, Does side jobs like yours for hardly nothing, usually a couple hundred or less if you buy the parts. Hes a really good guy and a good mechanic as well.
